As part of aged career,aged education have made great progress.Elderly university is an important form of aged education,and the supply fall short of need,which should be improved to provide qualified educational service for the elderly.The key to improving the educational service is improving the teachers' qualification.But nowadays,the teacher team in the elderly university mainly consists of part-time teachers,who from many kinds of social groups.A large number of teachers have little knowledge of the elderly,have no training before taking office,and have no formal training after taking office.The present teacher training system in elderly university is imperfect and the present research on the teacher training system in elderly university is rare.Based on the survey from the elderly universities in Taiyuan,this research did some analysis on the state of the present teacher training system in elderly university and explored the reason to cause the problems in it to find the effective ways to optimize the training system.Based on lifelong education theory and the theory of teacher's professional development as well as the eco-training system theory,making use of the methods of questionnaire and interview,this research systematically surveyed the state of the teachers' qualification and the state of the teacher training system in elderly university.According to the result of data analysis,it is found that the teachers' qualification could be better,while the teacher training system in elderly university is imperfect,in which there are some problems as follows:1.The elderly universities have no sufficient premises to develop the teacher training system,with a lack of expenditure and equipment,imperfect policie and regulation system and the weak teachers' team.2.The aim of teacher training in elderly university is easygoing,with single participant to set the training goals,a lack of variety and scientific basis in setting the training goals.3.The content and the method is monotonous,short of communication and learning with other elderly universities,with teachers short of interests and sustainability in training,with narrow range of training curricula and different educational resources underutilized.4.Evaluation mechanism of teacher training in elderly university is incomplete,with a lack of evaluation standards and motivation,having less developmental functions and characteristics.There are four suggestions to resolve the problems above:1.Strengthen supply-side structural reform to create better environment for the teacher training in elderly university,with sufficient funds and cost-sharing system.Complete the policy and regulation system and the structure of the training instructors who take classes for the teachers in elderly university.2.Compromise the needs from different beneficiary to optimize the goal setting,with communication among different beneficiary to set stratified goals based on different demands and scientific researches.3.Create new training content and methods and develop characteristic curricula.Organize inter-university training activities to build learning community.Implement mobile training activities to make sure the participation.Develop the online class to encourage teachers sustainably take part in the training activities.Set multi-dimension curricula to meet various learning needs from teachers.Make full use of ordinary university resources to encourage teachers to choose the training content by themselves.4.Set scientific evaluation mechanism to improve the effectiveness of the teacher training in elderly universities.Set the evaluation standard in line with the training goals and combine the result with the appraisal system.Adjust the training activities the questionnaire about teachers' satisfaction with the training activities and create an evaluation mechanism that helps teachers raise consciousness of professional development.
