With the advent of an aging society,the education of the elderly has been paid more and more attention.The University of the elderly,with the education of the elderly as its main content,has made great progress in terms of both the level of education and the scale of running a school,and has generally shown a thriving trend.While making progress,we should also see the drawbacks in the development of geriatric universities: in general,steady development,but the construction of its teaching staff lags far behind other education.Therefore,the study of the teaching staff of the University of the elderly,in view of its existing problems,put forward a reasonable construction strategy,can provide references for the improvement of teaching quality and the stable development of teachers in the elderly university.This study uses literature research method,interview method,questionnaire survey method.On the basis of teachers ' professional development theory,teachers ' human capital theory and lifelong learning theory,this paper takes the present situation of the development of the teaching staff of the elderly universities in Chongqing as the research object,summarizes the problems and causes of the teaching staff in the elderly universities,and puts forward some relevant suggestions.Firstly,according to the questionnaire survey of teachers in the teaching staff of the elderly university,this paper analyzes the present situation of the teaching staff of the Geriatric University: the basic situation,the professional quality,the teaching and scientific research level of the teachers,and the present situation of the construction conditions of the teachers ' team.Thus summed up its problems in team structure and management,such as unreasonable team structure,high mobility of teachers,lack of scientific teacher management,uneven professional level of teaching staff and so on.And according to the attribution analysis: The teacher management idea is backward,the teacher training is weak,the employment mechanism is unreasonable,the incentive mechanism is not perfect,the teacher identification degree is low.Finally,based on the reality of Chongqing,drawing on the excellent experience of the construction of the teaching staff of the elderly at home and abroad,this paper puts forward the corresponding development strategy of the teaching staff: further strengthen the policy support,improve the status of the elderly education teachers,improve the employment system,update the management mode,improve the teacher incentive mechanism,strengthen the quality of teaching staff It is hoped that this can promote the construction of the teaching staff of the elderly universities in China and promote the vigorous development of the teaching staff of the elderly education.
