In the report of 19 th CPC National Congress,it was proposed that the vocational education and training system should be improved,the integration of industry and education should be deepened and the cooperation between colleges and enterprises should be strengthened.The Several Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Deepening the Integration of Industry and Education pointed out that it was necessary to ‘strengthen the construction of faculty team for the integration of industry and education' and ‘explore the qualification criteria for teachers and the appointment and assessment method of the professional and technical title(professional titles)applicable to vocational schools'.For a school,faculty is the subject of the school development and so is the secondary vocational school.However,from the perspective of reality,the professional competence development of teachers in secondary vocational schools has been separated from the subject attribution for a long time and been restricted in the scope of professional education,which severely restrains the improvement of teachers ' professional competence.According to the preliminary investigation,both the school administrators and the teachers focus on cultivating the professional achievement of skilled talents but lack the subject consciousness required for teachers' individual development.In the past studies on the professional competence enhancement of teachers in secondary vocational schools,the teachers' professional competence cultivation in secondary vocational schools was simply limited to the major level,resulting in narrowing down their development methods.Therefore,it is necessary to research the professional ability enhancement of teachers in secondary vocational schools from the subject perspective.Based on the selected 6 secondary vocational schools in City T of Province G,this thesis took teachers in secondary vocational schools as research objects and did an empirical research on the professional competence of teachers in the 6 secondary vocational schools using multiple methods,including documentation,questionnaires,mathematical statistics and interviews.According to the SPSS17.0 analysis based on the returned questionnaires,some issues of the surveyed group were exposed in professional competence,including limited teaching update abilities,limited participation opportunities in curriculum development and insufficient scientific research abilities,etc.By the analysis,the root of the problem was concluded as below.Teachers in secondary vocational schools lacked internal driving force in elevating professional competence and they were weak in the fundamentals of the education subject.At the school level,the academic atmosphere needed to be optimized,the teaching training model needed to be reformed and the subject concept needed to be reinforced.From the social level,social recognition on teachers was deficient and the innovative ability cultivation for students in secondary vocational schools was in shortage.Based on this,the thesis took a quantitative approach to approve the obvious relation between a subject and the professional competence of teachers in secondary vocational schools and did a qualitative research to conclude that the concrete content between a subject and teachers in secondary vocational schools.The content includes that subject acts as a platform for teachers to promote their professional competence,a fountain for the course development and supporting for technical development.It comes up with four countermeasures for teachers in secondary vocational schools to promote their professional competence as below.First of all,to awaken the subject consciousness of teachers in secondary vocational schools in promoting professional competence.Secondly,to sort out the relation between subjects in secondary vocational schools and major construction.Thirdly,to build a platform for teachers in secondary vocational schools to promote their professional competence.Fourthly,to expand horizons of teachers in secondary vocational schools in students' innovative ability cultivation.
