Concept maps are tools for organizing and expressing knowledge.The use of appropriate teaching methods to promote the progress and development of students is called effective teaching.It advocates modern teaching concepts and meets the curriculum standards.Teaching efficiency is the core of effective teaching.The use of concept maps in biology courses can help teachers implement effective teaching,improve students' interest in learning,and help foster their biological science literacy.Research on it has important theoretical significance and application values.This study was conducted on senior middle school students at grade 1.Class one was set as the experimental class,and class two was set as the control class.Prior to the implementation of the study,a questionnaire survey was conducted to determine students' learning interest and situations;interviews to teachers were conducted on whether conceptual map strategies could promote teaching.Afterwards,a corresponding teaching strategy was formulated and a four-month teaching research was conducted.A comparative analysis of the results of the four biology exams for students in the experimental and control classes was conducted.Four months later,a post-test questionnaire was conducted.The main results are as follows:The pre-test results of the questionnaire survey showed that the proportion of students interested in biology courses in the experimental class and the control class were 65.3% and 63.1% respectively.After the implementation of the teaching research,the proportion of students interested in biology class in the experimental class rose to 78.3%,while the control class was similar to the pretest results.In the first test before the study,the average score,pass rate and excellent rate of the experimental class students were similar to the control group;however,the average scores,pass rate and excellent rate of the experimental class students in the last three tests(1 in other months)were higher than those of the control class,and the degree of improvement was even higher.The interview results showed that most teachers believed that the use of concept maps in classroom teaching could improve students' interest in learning,help students in cooperative learning and inquiry learning,and positively affirm the ability of concept maps to promote effective teaching.In summary,the concept map strategies promote the effective teaching in biology at high school,and improve the teaching quality of biology classes.The students' interests in learning biology have been significantly improved,their autonomous learning ability have been enhanced,students' all-round development has been promoted,and 3D teaching goals have been achieved.It provides some basic data for high school biology teaching reform.
