Since the reform and opening up,with the breaking of the dual structure of urban and rural areas in our country and the accelerating process of urbanization,the population flows have become more and more frequent,and the floating population tend migrate to east part of China and to cities.Many ethnic minorities in our country have left their homelands and joined the great tide of population movement and migration.The arrival of ethnic minorities has injected fresh energy into urban development of the eastern region.However,different ethnics have great differences in terms of language,diet,customs,religious beliefs,psychological features,values and other aspects.The ethnic minorities faces many social adaptation and integration problems in the city.We have chosen to carry out relevant research on the adaptation of the ethnic minorities in the eastern region,which not only helps them integrating into urban life more easier,but also helps building harmonious ethnic relations achieving great national unity and jointly promoting urban development.As an eastern coastal city,Yantai has a superior geographical position,beautiful natural environment,convenient transportation conditions and rapid economic development,attracting many foreign populations.At present,Yantai has become a typical area for many ethnic minorities in China.In 2015,there were 49 ethnic minorities in the city,of which the proportion of Chinese Korean was the highest,reaching 30%.Due to the differences in their own conditionsand capabilities,the social adaptation of the same ethnic group is also different.In order to deeply researching the social adaptation issue of ethnic minorities in city,and making the research results more pertinence.This thesis selects the specific group of Chinese Korean college teachers as the object to study,through questionnaires and in-depth interviews to understand the adaptation status of this group,and then discuss related suggestion according to their adaptation status.This thesis can be divided into three parts: introduction,main body and epilogue.The introduction part mainly explains the reasons and significance of the topic study,the research status,the research content and innovation,the research methods and so on.The main body part contains three chapters: The first chapter mainly introduces the general situation of Yantai City and the Chinese Korean in Yantai,and the general situation of Chinese Korean college teachers in Yantai city.The second chapter mainly discusses the social adaptation status and problems of Chinese Korean college teachers from three aspects:economic adaptation,social participation and psychological adaptation.The third chapter elaborates the relevant thinking on the social adaptation of Chinese Korean college teachers.Which is mainly to explore the reasons and reference for the higher degree of their social adaptability,and the suggestion and significance to improve the social adaptation of Chinese Korean college teachers.The epilogue emphasizes the importance of studying the social adaptation of Chinese Korean college teachers in Yantai city.
