Entrepreneurship education among university students plays an important role in promoting the strategy of invigorating the country through science,technology and education,and of the potential demands of building the innovative nation.It also occupies a significant part in improving the sustainable development of Chinese economy in the time of knowledge economy.Developing university students'entrepreneurship can implement the policy of "encouraging entrepreneurship to employment opportunities",solve the issue of unemployment and construct the harmonious socialist society.Entrepreneurship education curriculum is the core of the entrepreneurship education,which is critical in its development.The research universities aim at cultivating innovative intellectuals for the nation,and possess the cultural advantage in the platform of entrepreneurship education.They are supposed to shoulder the responsibility,and utilize the advantages to launch the characteristic entrepreneurship education courses.Based on the comparative analysis on the four basic elements of curriculum(curriculum objectives,curriculum content,curriculum implementation,curriculum evaluation),between domestic research universities such as Tsinghua University,Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics,Zhejiang University and foreign research universities such as Illinois University,Stanford University and MIT,this study supplies the fundamental knowledge for the entrepreneurship education courses in China.This thesis adopts questionnaires on the four basic elements of curriculum to investigate the deficits of the course design and students' requirements,which provides suggestions for the courses in China.This thesis is composed of five parts.In the first chapter,the study background,purpose and significance will be introduced in the beginning.Later,the research content,methodology,theoretical basis and the innovation of this study are elaborated.In the second chapter,concepts which are connected to this study such as entrepreneurship education,curriculum of entrepreneurship education,research universities,curriculum and other theories in the aspect of entrepreneurship education is defined.Literature review includes the related study home and abroad with regard to entrepreneurship education.In the third chapter,the curriculum of entrepreneurship education from Tsinghua University,Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics,Zhejiang University,Illinois University,Stanford University and MIT are discussed from the perspective of the four elements in the courses.And the difference between them is analyzed,which provides the fundamental experience for the set-up of entrepreneurship education curriculum in research universities in China.In chapter four,this research takes the students from these three domestic universities as respondents,conducts the survey on the issue of entrepreneurship education and students' requirements in the curriculum,and adopts the SPSS 24.0 and Excel to analyze the results.Deficits in entrepreneurship education in domestic research universities are discovered according to the study results.In the fifth chapter,judging from the comparative analysis of the course design of entrepreneurship education from Tsinghua University,Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics,Zhejiang University,Illinois University,Stanford University and MIT,this research combines requirements from the students and the deficits on the course together.Therefore,based on the findings of the questionnaires,four suggestions for the course design in the research universities in China are proposed,and they are:setting multilevel goals to arouse students' passion towards entrepreneurship;providing various courses to strengthen the students' ability of entrepreneurship;improving students'ability in entrepreneurship within the curriculum implementation of multiple measures;evaluating students with the multiple participation to achieve their integrated development.
