A Research On The Kindergartens Using Community Resources To Educate Children In C City Of H Province In Central China

Kindergartens using community resources to educate children means kindergartens using historical and cultural resources,public facilities and institutions and natural resources in communities to promote the development of young children.This thesis specifically studies the use of community resources in kindergartens in C city of H province in central China.The dissertation summarizes the relevant literature and interprets its enlightenment for this study.The theoretical base contains the Bio-ecological Theory,the Life Education Theory and the Social Capital Theory.By means of questionnaire-survey,interviews,observation and documentary analysis,this thesis explores the views of value,preparations,time,content,forms,participation,evaluation,and problems about kindergartens using community resources to educate young children.The influential factors are also discussed.Many positive results are found from the research.Kindergartens are concerned about community resources;lots of kindergartens use community resources and activities are rich;excellent kindergartens play exemplary roles.But some problems are also discovered.Some kindergartens are not good at using community resources and lack notion of making use of historical and cultural resources.The degree of using resources remains to be improved and functions of the community are not full played.Some suggestions are also given.Kindergartens should integrate the community resources,enrich the utilization of regional culture resources,establish long-term cooperation with the community and strengthen training to improve staff's overall quality.Communities should establish cooperation mechanism with kindergartens and play a functional role;communities should enrich the activities and promote service level.Parents should focus more on the value of community resources and take an active part in activities.The government should implement relevant policies and increase financial input.
