With the advent of the era of big data,the development of all walks of life couldn't be separated from the statistics and analysis of data.Statistics and probability,as the basis for data processing,have drawn wide attention from the society and are also the important objects of curriculum reform.The new round of curriculum reform emphasizes the diversified development of students.Pre-sessional courses become the focus of this course reform.The selected IBDP and AP textbooks are high school students' learning programs with high recognitions by internationally renowned universities.The two versions of textbooks Statistics and probabilities are compared.The study compares and analyzes the two editions of textbooks from the macro,meso and micro perspectives.On the macro aspect: we compare the design features of the textbooks with the content layout respectively.The overall design of the two versions of textbooks is simple.The IBDP textbooks emphasize the key concepts and rules of the textbooks with different colors of the texts,while the AP are in the introductory part of the chapter,the key terms of the chapter are listed,and the concluding part of the chapter emphasizes the key concepts.Content layout,the two versions of textbooks related to the use of calculators have occupied a large amount of content of two versions of textbooks.IBDP version of teaching materials more stringent logic layout and AP version of textbooks emphasize the knowledge of students' summary.At the meso level: the statistics and probability analysis of two textbooks were statistically analyzed using the concept map.I found the AP textbook in the number of nodes than the IBDP textbook 23.80% more width than the IBDP textbook more than 36.36%,16.87% in the HSS,and IBDP textbook in depth than the AP textbook 16.67%,22.22% more in the number of blocks.There is a significant gap in the width of the two versions of the textbooks,which reflects that AP textbooks require higher knowledge breadth and more complex concept maps.The IBDP textbooks are deeper than the AP textbooks,with more chunks.Reflects the logic of this teaching material,and requires a higher level of knowledge of students.At the micro level:124 examples of the two textbooks were analyzed through the difficulty analysis framework of mathematics problems.In the background level,the IBDP textbooks focused more on a simpler background.The AP textbooks focused on the social background and emphasized the practical application of statistics;In terms of knowledge level,the IBDP are more focused on three levels of knowledge,while the AP focuses on one level of knowledge and four knowledge points;on the level of exploration,the IBDP is slightly higher than the level of exploration of the AP version of the material,more emphasis on the logical connection between knowledge,and the exploration of new situations.The IBDP of examples' background,knowledge points,explore these three factors more balanced,and the AP is a certain degree of deviation;IBDP version of the textbook example of the comprehensive difficulty than the AP version of the textbook example of the overall difficulty is small.
