Gratitude is a sense or act of recognition that comes from the heart when a person is being cared for,helped,or patronized by another.School education should combine "teaching" with "educating" and make full use of all kinds of teaching resources to cultivate and raise students 'sense of gratitude and responsibility.The junior high school students are in the important period when their world outlook,outlook on life and sense of worth are formed.Through gratitude education,we can train junior high school students to be grateful,awaken their inner truth,kindness and beauty,teach them to love,strengthen their sense of gratitude,dedication and responsibility,which can help them to become qualified socialist builders and successors with excellent moral character and all-round development.Although some schools in recent years have gradually realized the importance of gratitude education and have begun to carry out gratitude education,and some theoretical research and practical exploration have been carried out.However,due to the problems such as using teaching methods inappropriately,excavating teaching resources inadequately or teacher's weak professional literacy,the effectiveness of gratitude education remains weak and there are many shortcomings.Therefore,it isnecessary to further explore and continuing concern of gratitude education for junior high school students.This thesis consists of four parts:In the first part,the author summarizes the investigation of gratitude education in junior high school students,analyzes the purpose,methods and object?s characteristics of the survey,and introduces the contents of the survey.In the second part,the author makes an analysis to the present situation of gratitude education in junior high school and comes to conclusions.The conclusions are drawn as follows: first,the junior high school students` gratitude consciousness and behavior are weak.Second,the effectiveness of gratitude education in junior high school is not better.In the third part,according to the conclusion of the survey,this paper puts forward the problems of the present gratitude education of junior high school in using the advantage of subjects inadequately,the form of implementation of gratitude education lack of systematicness and the limited teachers' professional literacy,and analyzes the causes of problems from the aspects of school and family education,social background and the factors of junior high school students themselves.In the fourth part,for existing problems of gratitude education,schools should combine "teaching" and "educating people" and make full use of all kinds of teaching resources to carry out gratitude education.And the author puts forward the following countermeasures: one is to use uses ideological and moral course to carry out gratitude education,the sencond is to use other subjects to carry out gratitude education,the third is school provides a good gratitude environment,to play a leading role in gratitude education.
