Material wealth does not bring spiritual transcendence in today's society,on the contrary,spiritual emptiness and moral indifference become a reflection of the times.The soul nowhere to put looks forward to the baptism of the humanistic spirit.People hope to enjoy material wealth at the same time can be given concern of the value,the dignity of life and the depth of thought.The present situation of humanistic education in project 985 universities of science and engineering reflects this social trend.The composition of its rationality is in the initial construction of the knowledge,ability and emotional trinity as the humanistic education objectives,and strengthening the university students' “three education” in accordance with national conditions,which is in aware of the significance of international horizon that embodies the comprehensiveness.However,there still exists some limitations to be perfected: the training objectives are too broad,which are not conducive to the implementation of humanities education in practice;the three-dimensional goal of knowledge,ability and emotions is lack in harmony and unity;personal values and international cultivation for university students are not enough emphasized.The main reasons for the limited purpose of humanistic education in project 985 universities of science and engineering are as follows in three aspects: cognitive dislocation in social development,simple employment value of university students and discipline logic that lay more stress on science than arts.Specifically,it largely reflects the society ontology supremacy,social arrogation of education and training objectives oriented by instrumental talents in the first part.Secondly,it is exac tly because of employment-oriented university education,utility employment value along with the cultivating objectives in job views.The third area mainly shows in the subject origin of the concept that emphasizes sciences and neglect humanities,the value ranking systems of knowledge value in liberal arts and the knowledge system which insists the humanities serve the science.Taken all above into consideration,only it fits the C hinese characteristic sociocultural needs,in favorable to university students' physical and psychological development and highlights the discipline logic based on general education philosophy,the existing content of the development target of the humanities education can be perfected.The specific contents of training objectives of humanistic education include knowledge of literary,history and philosophy,capacity and human emotion.In order to make the knowledge,ability and emotion objective harmonious and unified,and better guide the practice of the curriculum,teaching and assessment,training objectives ought to be appropriate.Finally,in order to put training objectives of humanistic education into practice and promote the better development of humanistic education in project 985 universities of science and engineering,implementation on training objectives of humanistic education is put forward from three respects,including scientific curriculum,research-oriented teaching and multiple assessment.
