The innovation ability is the core competitiveness of the country, and human resources is the key to improve the innovation ability, there is the future of innovation, there is talent there is hope. In today's world, science and technology progress and innovation in economic and social development is the decisive force. Regardless of a country or an enterprise, if does not grasp the core technology, innovative ability, will not hold the future development of the initiative. At present, our country is moving in 2020 into"innovation-oriented country,"the cultivation of innovative ability becomes the important strategic choice of building China with science and technology and developing China by talents. Institutions of higher education are an important part of the national innovation system, to improve innovation capability and build an innovation-oriented country, shouldering the cultivation of talents and contributions to provide the knowledge. Therefore, how to cultivate the innovative university students becomes a hot topic in the researching field of higher education. At the same time, with a wide range of quality education to carry out, the importance of quality education in the humanities becomes increasingly prominent. Humanistic quality education as an important part of quality education for integrated development of students, especially cultivating the innovation skills of science and engineering students plays an irreplaceable role. So, further studying the relationship between humanistic quality education and cultivating science and engineering students' innovation ability, university education with a core of cultivating innovation ability has an important theoretical and practical significance.This paper discusses the theoretical basis and background of"science and technology innovation ability of university students call for quality education in the humanities,"and details the humanistic quality education's promoter action to cultivate science and engineering students' innovation ability, then through analysis of the current quality of our science and engineering college of Humanities the status quo is not high and the reasons to explain the neglect of the humanistic quality education is not conducive to cultivate innovation ability of university students. Finally, the author from the education concept, persons qualified to teach teachers, curriculum system, campus culture and innovative personality to put forward to develop science an engineering students'innovation ability through the effective implementation of humanistic quality education in colleges and universities.
