Research In The Teachers' Workload Of Boarding Primary School In Baota District Of Yan'an City

The appropriate workload was beneficial to the physical and mental health of teachers.It could stimulate the teachers' work enthusiasm.It was very good for education career and even the development of the society.However,the heavy workload would seriously affect the teachers' physical and mental health.Such as reduced teachers' professional sense and professional well-being.Job burnout was caused.Boarding primary school teachers played more roles.Their workload was very heavy.It was necessary to study the boarding primary school teachers' workload in Baota district of Yan' an city under the background of revitalization education in the old revolutionary base areas.In order to understanding the actual workload of the teachers in the boarding school in Baota district of Yan' an city,teachers' workload of 6 primary schools in this city was researched.Literature review,questionnaire,interview,observation,experience,comprehensive analysis and other methods were used.The first-hand materials were obtained through the survey of more than 500 people,more than 70 interviews,observation and personal experience for one month in school.Then,the questionnaire,the data and interview content were analyzed.They were found that the teachers' work time was too long,work was too much,assessment was too strict,pressure was so big,responsibility was too heavy,status was too low.The teachers paid more in work,but were returned less,which made their mental imbalance.They subjected to frequent intervention.They had poor autonomy,more strong anxiety,job burnout.In a word,the teachers' workload of boarding primary schools exceeded the standard badly in Baota district of Yan' an city.The main reasons for the overload of these teachers were as follows.There were too more students and more courses,but fewer teachers in boarding primary schools.Thedaily work of teachers was complicated and heavy.Primary school students had poor living and learning ability,great individual differences,and long time in school care.Some teachers lacked of professional quality.Their working efficiency was low.So,they must pay a long time for work.The division of work of the school was unclear.There were multiple management and more surprise tasks in the school which increased the workload of teachers.The mechanical assessment and evaluation mechanism caused the competition between teachers fierce.Leading to lack of communication among teachers and the team consciousness weak.Old education concept and lacking management art made management departments to fail to effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers.The doctrine of teacher assessment method did not arouse the enthusiasm of teachers.The managers lacked the consciousness of reducing the burden on teachers.The social climate of respect teachers had not been formed.The demand for teachers was getting higher and higher of all walks of life.The backward teaching equipment affected the working efficiency of teachers.In view of the above situation,the government should recruit strictly excellent teachers according to the teachers' ratio.They also should provide appropriate assistant staff,clear division of labor,simplify working procedures and improve the teacher assessment and evaluation mechanism.Teachers should actively study,strengthen communication,and constantly improve their teaching level.Teachers would strengthen education for primary school students,standardize their behavior,improve their living and learning skills,encourage them to lead the teaching process and improve students' ability of self-management.Teachers also should take an active part in the action to reduce the burden of physical and mental load,and use legal means to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests when necessary.The managers must change their concept and innovate management,reduce administrative intervention,and improve the work efficiency.Service and the safeguard need be provided for education development.At the same time,they should give teachers times of prepare lessons and study,and security the rest orvacation rights of teachers.In addition,sweet cultural atmosphere should be built.Parents and the people from all walks of life need to raise awareness,understand and treat teachers,and participate in the education career actively to make due contribution for adolescent health growth.Countries should further intensify investment in education,solve the problem of shortage of teachers and improve the education teaching system.Teaching equipment,catering facilities and accommodation conditions must be improved constantly.
