| Conducting mental health education for all students is an inevitable requirement for schools to implement quality education.Related research shows that mental health education curriculum is an effective way to develop mental health education.It not only helps students maintain a healthy mental state,but also can improve students’ mental quality.Based on the above reasons,the author studies the current situation of middle school mental health education curriculum implementation,finds out the existing problems,and finally proposes a targeted strategy to solve the problems,which is of great significance.Based on the requirements of Guidelines for Mental Health Education in Primary and Secondary Schools for mental health education in middle schools,this article comprehensively uses literature review method,questionnaire survey and interview method.The author uses self-made questionnaire to investigate 560 middle school students from three middle school in Yan’an city which have opened mental health education curriculum and conduct in-depth interviews with 6 mental health education teachers of the three middle schools and 6 school administrators in order to understand the current situation of mental health education curriculum implementation in Yan’an middle schools.Through the investigation and analysis on the status quo of middle school mental health education curriculum implementation,try to find problems and explore and promote the implementation and improvement of middle school mental health education curriculum.This article is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes the background of the topic,the significance of the research,the domestic and foreign research review,the thoughts and methods of the research,and the definition of related concepts of mental health education curriculum implementation and the policy basis and theoretical basis of this study.The second part is the current situation investigation of middle school mental health education curriculum implementation.Through interviews with 6 middle school mental health teachers,to have an in-depth understanding of the course setting situation,teaching materials and course content,teaching methods and methods,teaching organization forms,teachers,course evaluation,and the difficulties that teachers encounter.At the same time,the students’ cognition on mental health education curriculum,the situation on school attaching importance to mental health education curriculum,students’ demand on the opening of the curriculum and the evaluation of the scores,the evaluation of the curriculum implementation,and the evaluation of the curriculum effectiveness are conducted in the form of questionnaires investigation.Finally,the analyses of the survey data find that students have recognized the importance of mental health education curriculum,and that the mental health education will help their own development and improvement.The third part is about dealing with the problems existing in the implementation of middle school mental health education curriculum in Yan’an.By analyzing interviews with mental health teachers and questionnaires survey of students,it is found that middle school mental health education curriculum is not in a high position and lacks suitable teaching materials,and teaching methods cannot meet the needs of students,the curriculum is lack of effective evaluation system and other issues.The fourth part is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the above-mentioned problems and explore the strategies to improve the mental health education in middle schools.First of all,schools should improve the status of mental health education curriculum.Secondly,teachers should be organized to actively develop school-based textbooks.Thirdly,teachers should optimize teaching methods and use a variety ofteaching methods.Fourthly,schools should also strengthen the construction of mental health teachers and attach importance to teachers’ professional training.Fifthly,all mental health education teachers get together to establish an effective curriculum evaluation system.The fifth part is the conclusion and the outlook,summarizing the harvest and the innovation of this research and the deficiency of this study,and put forward the prospect of further research on middle school mental health education curriculum. |
