The compilation of Chinese textbooks is always one of the most important problems of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.With more and more attention has been paid by the people in this filed,the number of Chinese teaching materials has increased a lot,the type of the Chinese textbooks become more diverse and the the theory of compiling Chinese textbooks gets more systematic.For the past few years,compiling Chinese textbooks just for Sweden,which located in North Europe,has a long tradition in studying Sinology,and in recent ten years,middle school Chinese teaching in Sweden also made a new breakthr-ough.However,because of the speciality of social system,language,culture,education system and students' characteristic,coupled with the Chinese textbook what Swedish students using now is mostly complied for the students whose mother tongue are English,these textbooks are not very suitable for Swedish students in many aspects.Therefore,it is essential to compile localized Chinese textbooks for Sweden middle school students.By investigating current situation of Chinese teaching in Sweden middle school,analyzing the details of Chinese syllabus for schools in Sweden,drawing upon the experiences of other excellent localized Chinese textbooks,the principle of compiling the Sweden middle school localized Chinese Textbooks was finally decided,which is coordinated Topic-Fuction-Culture,Topic is the clue of writing texts for each lesson,Function is the criterion to classify communication items,Culture is the content which can enrich the interests of the textbook.Based on this principle,the definition,the stream of thought,stylistic rules and layout of the Sweden localized textbook Ni Hao will be introduced in this paper,as well as the compiling scheme of the phonetic,vocabulary,grammar and culture.An excellent Chinese textbook can not only help with teaching,but also promote learning.There are still some shortcomings in this thesis,but it also can contribute to the research on the theory and practice of compiling localized Chinese textbooks for Sweden middle school students.
