In 2017,the Ministry of Education promulgated the new “Standards for Ordinary High School Geography Curriculum”,which will “further enhance the overall quality of students and focus on developing core qualities” as the training goal of ordinary high schools.This curriculum standard consolidates the core qualities of the discipline,and puts forward that school education should pay more attention to cultivating students' core qualities.Geography is a science that studies the relationship between geographical environment and human activities and geographical environment.Geographical core qualities can help students to better learn geography and form ideological awareness and key capabilities for studying geographical environment and human-land relations.Taking the new curriculum reform and the new curriculum standards as backgrounds,this paper analyzes the problems of regional core cognitive qualities in high school geography teaching,explores ways to solve problems,and puts forward some suggestions for the cultivation of regional core cognitive qualities in high school geography teaching.Firstly,through the literature research method,the research on the regional cognitive literacy and its cultivation at home and abroad are collated and analyzed.On the basis of previous studies,the concepts of geographic core quality,regional cognition and regional cognitive literacy are defined.Read psychology and educational psychology and other articles and related articles,expound the cognitive teaching theory,constructivism theory,the development of teaching theory and other teaching theory of high school geography teaching in the cultivation of regional core meaning of cognitive guidance,lay the theoretical foundation for the subsequent text.Through questionnaire survey,case analysis method and classroom observation method,this paper analyzes and summarizes the status quo of regional core cognitive literacy training in high school geography teaching,and discovers and studies geography classroom teaching practice that does not recognize the theory of geographic core literacy and regional cognitive literacy.Incompleteness,lack of depth;regional awareness literacy and its cultivation have not received due attention;the pertinence and comprehensiveness of the choice of teaching materials is not strong;regional geography teaching methods lack comprehensiveness,students' participation is not high;regional geography teaching method is simple,students lack of interest in learning and other issues.After analyzing the causes of the above problems,based on the requirements of the new curriculum standards,cognitive learning theory,and constructivist theory,we propose to perfect and deepen regional cognition for high school regional geography teaching,and pay attention to cultivate students' regional cognitive quality;Select targeted and comprehensive teaching materials;strengthen analysis and guidance of regional issues and improve student participation in the classroom;use diverse teaching methods and means to improve student learning interest and other teaching suggestions to better cultivate students' regional cognitive literacy.
