In this paper,the firm-level data of Annual Surveys of Industrial Enterprises in 1998-2008 are used to calculate the job turnover rate of industrial enterprises with different attributes,and we further discuss the relationship between the change of employment position and the market reform.Research results show that:(1)During the inspection period,the average job creation rate of the industry in China was 23.4%,job destruction rate 18.4%,and the renewal of the employment position brought about 5% of the net employment growth.(2)The sectors or regions having higher degree of marketization are stronger in absorb workers than which are lower.Marketization is the fundamental driving force of China's industrial sector employment changes.(3)Laid-off tide at the turn of the century,the decline and revitalization of old industrial base and Popular entrepreneurship and innovation policy are the challenges and opportunities in the process of marketization,and they have brought the great change of micro-level job flows.(4)Industrial Enterprises with low TE absorbed the most workers.Its average job creation rate was 22.4%,net employment growth rate was 12.7% and job destruction rate was 18.4%.However,when the TE level of Industrial Enterprises reached to the top,the ability of absorb workers increased.
