In our country's higher education,professional setting has always been an issue of concern to the education community.The rationality of professional setting directly affects the quality of talent cultivation and the level of professional construction in agricultural colleges and universities in China.Optimization of professional settings is the deepening of education and teaching in agricultural colleges and universities in China.Important ways and measures forreform.This study takes the undergraduate majors of 24 agricultural colleges in China as the research object,and uses literature analysis methods,historical research methods and case analysis methods to analyze the historical development,current status,and existence of undergraduate majors in 24 agricultural colleges in China.And propose suggestions for optimizing the undergraduate major setting in China's agricultural colleges.This research is mainly divided into the following aspects to study the issue of undergraduate majors in China's agricultural colleges.This study first reviewed the research progress of professional setting in China and summed up the related concepts involved in this study.Secondly,this study divides the historical development of undergraduate majors in China's agricultural colleges into four periods,and elaborates on the historical features and historical influencing factors of each period.Then analyzes the status quo of undergraduate majors establishment in 24 agricultural colleges in China from the aspects of the number of undergraduate majors,professional structure,and professional employment situation,and elaborates the development trend of its professional settings,and also studies the undergraduate programs of 24 agricultural colleges in China.The problems with professional settings are described.This study also used Shenyang Agricultural University as a research case,and conducted an in-depth analysis of the setting of undergraduate majors of Shenyang Agricultural University from the aspects of professional setting of the colleges and employment relations.Finally,through the above analysis,he following conclusions are drawn: First,through the analysis of the historical development of undergraduate majors in agricultural colleges in China.the historical characteristics of the transformation of the professional setting management model of agricultural colleges and the transformation of the cultivation objectives of agricultural majors are summarized.The second is to analyze the status quo of undergraduate majors establishment in China's agricultural colleges,and to conclude that there are problems with the unreasonable development of the number of professional establishents,the uncoordinated professional layout,and the unbalanced professional structure in agricultural colleges and universities in China.Based on this,it puts forward the following suggestions: First,rationally control the number of major establishments;second,rationally plan the layout of professional structures;third,optimize and upgrade traditional professions;fourth,use the integration of advantages and distinctive disciplines to develop specialty;A sound early-warning mechanism;Sixth,it is to strengthen the undergraduate specialty directory's guiding role in undergraduate majors in agricultural colleges and universities.
