At present,China mainly trains agricultural talents through higher education,and sets up agricultural majors in colleges and universities to train professional technical talents,so as to meet the needs of society for agricultural talents.However,due to the influence of the number of college students,the values of graduates and the differences in the demand for agricultural talents in different regions of China,there is an imbalance between agricultural talents and social demand.Therefore,it is of great significance to analyze the situation of agricultural professionals in colleges and universities and discuss the relationship between the quantity,quality and social actual demand of agricultural talents to promote the overall level development of agriculture in China.In this paper,10 comprehensive colleges and universities offering agricultural majors in China were selected to make comparative analysis of 10 agricultural majors,such as agronomy,horticulture,landscape architecture,plant protection,forestry,facility agricultural science and engineering,seed science and engineering,grass industry science,rural and regional development,and agricultural resources and environment.For colleges and universities and professional involved in accordance with the enrollment,employment situation,employment regional flow and distribution of industry,the relationship and the social demand for agricultural engineering,discusses the agricultural class professional Settings and the connection between the training mode of colleges and universities,and analyzes the agricultural class graduates employment prospects and the main influence factors.In-depth analysis of the current agricultural specialty from enrollment to employment status and reflect the main problems.Taking the quantity and quality of agricultural talents as the basic evaluation criteria,this paper analyzes the relationship between agricultural majors and social needs from the perspectives of agricultural economic development level and social agricultural structure,and explores the problems in the development of agricultural talents at present,and accordingly puts forward relevant Suggestions.Although the research results show that our country agriculture engineering has good teaching modes and high employment rate,but the cultivation of the number of students and student level also can't reach the demand of the society,the main problems highlighted in the areas of employment concentration,the number of talent is not enough to meet the demand of social reality and agriculture graduates engaged in the agricultural industry ratio is not high.Solutions can be found in the following ways.Through effective enrollment policies and professional publicity,colleges and universities can formulate the enrollment proportion in line with their own actual situation,so as to solve the imbalance between the demand and supply of agricultural talents and the social demand for agricultural talents.To increase practical courses,cultivate vocational interest,improve agricultural professional students' sense of identity to agricultural profession,and enable students to realize self-value in their career;In terms of the differences between regional economies,we should narrow the regional gap,pay more attention to agriculture in areas with relatively weak economies,and provide support in terms of policies,financial and material resources,and agricultural personnel.Guide agricultural talents to dedicate themselves to the required areas.On the basis of investigation and research,the current agricultural professional and social agricultural talent needs are systematically sorted out,and the results provide reference for promoting the education teaching quality and the development of agricultural talent and social demand.
