If a man stands by virtue,he can cultivate others by virtue.The principal,as the main leader of a school,should be an example of morality and an expert in "running the school by virtue".However,due to the influence of market economy and utilitarianism,morality has not played its due role in the leadership of many principals.The theory of moral leadership put forward by the famous American educational management scientist Sergiovanni has important reference and guiding value in revealing the problems in the moral leadership activities of schools and improving the level of the moral leadership activities of principals.The thesis uses the grammar contribution method to consult and draw lessons from the previous research results,uses the interview method to deeply understand the present situation of the moral leadership of the primary and secondary school principals,and reveals the existing problems,mainly including: the prevalence of the traditional management model,Excessive centralization of power by principals;insufficient humanistic concern of principals for teachers and students;lack of sharing of vision;loss of moral authority,which leads to the absence of moral beliefs and encourages the emergence of moral anomies;utilitarianism is a serious phenomenon,Moral leadership has not been brought into play.And use Sergiovanni's moral leadership theory,transformational leadership theory,flexible leadership theory to make a thorough analysis of the problem,from the personal level of the headmaster,School level,social level,the national level of four levels of analysis of the moral leadership of primary and secondary school principals of the reasons for the existence of problems.In view of the existing problems,this paper puts forward some effective strategies for improving the moral leadership of the primary and secondary school principals,which are mainly divided into the following aspects: First,greatly improve the moral leadership consciousness of the primary and secondary school principals and establish the concept of moral leadership;Second,reduce dependence on power and strengthen service-oriented leadership;Third,give teachers and students overall humanistic care and build a harmonious campus;Fourth,create a common vision to provide guidance for the overall development of the school;Fifth,set up moral authority and build campus culture of attaching importance to morality,worshipping morality and establishing morality;Sixth,construct leaders' substitute to form community norm;Seventh,actively carry out the research of "moral leadership" to improve the moral leadership of headmasters;Eighth,improve the cost of power corruption of primary and secondary school principals,curb the probability of corruption;Ninth,strengthen all aspects of supervision for the implementation of moral leadership of primary and secondary school principals to provide a guarantee.The problems and improvement strategies revealed in the paper have important reference value for improving the moral leadership quality and the overall leadership level of primary and secondary school principals.
