With the rapid development of emerging technologies such as 5G technology,cloud computing,big data,quantum communication,artificial intelligence,etc,human society has stepped into the information age with big strides.In the field of education,information technology has a huge impact on many dimensions such as educational ideas and teaching models,triggering a systematic change and reconstruction of the education management system and organizational structure.As the revolutionary impact of information technology on the education field has become increasingly prominent,educational informatization has been gradually promoted to the national strategic height,and school informatization construction has entered the new stage of intensive cultivation(Educational Informatization2.0 Era).Correspondingly,different dimensions such as the country,society,schools,and principals' personal professional development have put forward increasingly urgent needs for deepening the research of principal information technology leadership and promoting the improvement of principal information technology leadership.This study believes that there is no educational modernization without educational informatization.At a time when the development of educational informatization is in full swing and educational informatization is used to promote the in-depth reform of education,as the leader of various work of the school,if the level of information technology leadership is low or missing,it will inevitably affect the improvement of school education and teaching quality,social talent training and even the long-term development of the country.At present,effectively improving the principals' information technology leadership has become a very important and urgent task,and clarifying the influencing factors is the logical starting point to give the promotion strategies and then boost the principals to effectively improve their information technology leadership levels.Therefore,this study,based on the actual needs of school principals and professional development demands,conducts an in-depth research on the influencing factors of principal information technology leadership.It is expected that the relevant research results will enlighten and promote principals' running of schools.This research first systematically sorts out the research background,research status quo and related research theories of principal information technology leadership,and further clarifies the job responsibilities of primary and secondary school principals under the conditions of information technology and the structural connotation of principal information technology leadership.Secondly,based on the fact that the academic exploration on the influencing factors of principal information technology leadership is still in its infancy,and the research on the influencing factors of its upper concept “leadership” has been very systematic and perfect,given that “principal information technology leadership” is a two-dimensional fusion product of principal informatization literacy and “leadership”,the two have a certain degree of inheritance in connotation and attribute.Therefore,this study analyzes out two core influencing factors,personality traits and leadership style,based on the research results of “leadership”,especially “Leadership Individual Difference Model” and a hypothetical model for the research is constructed.Next,in order to verify the accuracy and rationality of the model,PDCA method is used to construct a structural model of principal information technology leadership,develop the measurement questionnaire,construct the evaluation index system,and obtain the calculation formula of principal information technology leadership and each sub-dimension.Finally,on the premise of clarifying the control variables,this paper systematically analyzes the influence mechanism of the core influencing factors,personality traits and leadership styles,on principal information technology leadership,and completes the verification of the hypothetical model.In the process of verifying the hypothetical model,this study takes the representative Big Five personality traits and transformational leadership style as examples,employs multiple linear regression analysis and bootstrap mediated effect test.The research finds that the three sub-dimensions of the Big Five personality Traits: responsibility traits,openness traits,and agreeableness traits have significant positive effects on principal information technology leadership;extroversion traits has no significant impact on principal technology information leadership;neurotic traits have significant negative effects on principal information technology leadership;self-efficacy has a mediating effect in the process of responsibility,openness,agreeableness and neurotic traits influencing principal information technology leadership.Meanwhile,this study also finds that the four sub-dimensions of the transformational leadership style,moral modeling,vision motivation,individualized consideration,and leadership charm have significant positive effects on principal information technology leadership;organizational climate has a mediating effect on the influence of the four sub-dimensions of transformational leadership style on principal information technology leadership.According to the research conclusions,the paper puts forward promotion strategies and gives responding operation paths for information technology leadership of principals,respectively from the four dimensions of improving personality traits,changing leadership styles,creating an organizational climate and enhancing self-efficacy.Finally,the experiments have confirmed that the promotion strategies and optimization paths proposed in this research have good pertinence and effectiveness and can provide valuable reference for the principals to improve the level of information technology leadership and strengthen the ability of running a school.Based on the successful construction of the structural model of principal information technology leadership and development of principal information technology leadership measurement tools,this study systematically clarifies the influence mechanism of personality traits and leadership styles on principal information technology leadership and finally puts forward information technology leadership promotion strategies for principals to improve their information technology leadership based on the research findings.On the basis that current academic researches on the connotation and structural cognition of the information technology leadership of primary and secondary school principal have been relatively clear,this study conducts a in-depth research from the perspective of influencing factors.On the premise of effectively broadening the vision of research on principal information technology leadership,this research deepens the research mechanism of the influencing factors of principal information technology leadership.This research has a certain degree of theoretical significance and reference value for promoting the theoretical research of information technology leadership of primary and secondary school principals,and helping primary and secondary school principals to improve their ability to run schools through enhancing their own information technology leadership level.
