In recent years,with the rapid development of vocational education in China,the number of students in vocational colleges has been increasing,and the management difficulty has also relatively increased.In order to alleviate the management pressure,we have set up full-time counselors to replace the previous combination of full-time and part-time teachers and making part-time teachers dominated.However,due to the relatively poor learning consciousness and weak self-discipline,the difficulty of management is increased,and the work of full-time college counselors becomes more complicated.In the actual work,the counselor is far from the professionalism of the students he has studied,and it is difficult to play a professional leading role.As a result,the students are reluctant to accept the criticism and education of the counselor and the counselor has to apply “Evaluation of The Excellent Awards”,"Evaluation of The First Awards" and other means to assist their management.In addition,due to low salary,low rank,and difficulty in appraisal of academic or technical professional titles,full-time counselors often use this as a springboard and wait for opportunities to become full-time teachers,resulting in ineffective work.Many full-time counselors realize that it is not effective for adult students to just the same use traditional preaching for ideological education,and thus lacks a sense of accomplishment in their work,which further exacerbates their escape.As a full-time counselor who has been engaged in ideological and political education in vocational colleges for more than 10 years,the work of full-time counselors can be described as love and hate,often thinking about how to get out of the predicament.Based on this,I use the full-time counselor of vocational colleges as my research topic.This study compares the college counselor system in China and compares it with the colleges of the three developed countries in the United States,Britain and Japan after tracing back the system of the counselors in our country.It is found that both domestic and foreign management purposes are based on students and provide students with scholarships,student loans,employment guidance,psychologicalcounseling and many other services.However,in terms of management concepts and specific management methods,there are big differences in China and abroad.The foreign college system pays special attention to classification services,and there are different types of staff to provide different services for students,with clear responsibilities and mutual cooperation.And our full-time counselors almost supervise the students,and they are called “Ban Ma”,which means class mummy.The study selected several vocational colleges in Qinhuangdao as the samples,and conducted a in-depth investigation of the working mechanism,work content,working methods and work results of the counselors in vocational colleges,especially the problems and their causes in the work of counselors.Learning on the experience of the academic system of foreign student management services,this paper discusses the construction of a new student management mechanism in vocational colleges in China to solve the problem of inefficient work of counselors in vocational colleges.
