This research is aimed at the teacher Y,who is the new part-time counselor of L higher vocational colleges.It is put forward to the contradiction and confusion between his being counselor and the work of teaching professional classes,which has certain practical significance.This study adopts the methods of narrative research and combines interviews,observations,physical analysis and other methods to conduct in-depth and meticulous observation,interviews and analysis of teachers and students.In the three dimensions of time,energy and ability,while telling the growth story of Teacher Y,Analyze the teaching and management of Teacher Y from three perspectives: self,colleagues and students.It is concluded that it is difficult for Teacher Y to balance teaching and management.First: internal reasons.Mainly burnout and lack of self-reflection.Second: external reasons.The main reason is that the training system is incomplete,the lack of management system and the exchange of training are not easy to implement.Therefore,corresponding suggestions and countermeasures are proposed.First: self-development is fundamental.This requires understanding the level of self-professionalism and development needs,learning advanced educational theories,enriching one's own knowledge,improving teaching and research capabilities in practice,and coordinating teaching and management.Second: need school support.The school needs to develop a complete part-time counselor selection and training system,implement a platform to build a sound evaluation system,and establish an incentive guarantee system.
