Security is the source of life and the base of happiness.The improvement of students' safety literacy is the key and foundation for improving the security literacy of the whole nation.Carrying out the evaluation of middle school students' safety literacy is of great theoretical and practical significance for accurately grasping the current situation of middle school students' safety literacy,diagnosing and analyzing the differences and problems of middle school students' safety literacy,and improving the pertinence and effectiveness of school safety work.This study adopts the method of literature,research methods of educational measurement and mathematical statistics,based on a large collection of literature on the in-depth analysis of middle school students and constitute security literacy connotation,construction of students safety quality evaluation index system,and the development of students' safety literacy assessment tool.On this basis,we use the evaluation tool to evaluate the safety literacy of middle school students,and describe the middle school students' safety literacy from two aspects,the overall and the internal differences.And through the regression analysis,we further explore the factors that affect the safety literacy of the middle school studentsIn this study,the security literacy of middle school students is composed of three elements: safety awareness,safety knowledge and security ability.Among them,safety awareness includes self-protection awareness and protection of others' consciousness;safety knowledge includes legal knowledge and public safety knowledge;safety capability includes safety precaution and coping ability.According to the evaluation index system,middle school students' safety literacy assessment tools consist of safety consciousness assessment scale,safety knowledge test questions and safety capability evaluation scale.Evaluation results show that:(1)the overall evaluation of sample security literacy at the medium level,which reached a good level of safety knowledge;(2)security literacy of junior middle school students in rural areas is low;(3)the safety literacy of public school students is significantly higher than that of private schools;(4)security literacy level of boys is lower,especially the safety consciousness and ability;(5)non-child have strong coping ability;(6)security literacylevel of less educated parents of students is low;(7)gender and school type will have a significant impact on students' safety literacy.This study points out that improving students' safety literacy,we should take the following measures: First,pay attention to the cultivation of students' safety consciousness and ability;Second,strengthen the safety education in rural areas,improve the effectiveness of rural areas;Third,multi pronged approach,to strengthen supervision and management of private schools,private schools to improve security level;Fourth,attention to male literacy training;Fifth,giving full play to the strength of family education and promote the improvement of students' safety literacy.
