The ability of instructional design is a basic ability that teachers should have.As a cradle of training teachers,normal university plays an important role in improving the ability of instructional design of normal students.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ability of instructional design of normal students,understand the teaching-design ability of normal students,find out the existing problems,and put forward rationalization proposals.In this study,the author first developed corresponding evaluation tools according to the teaching design ability check standard to evaluate the current situation of instructional design ability,then use the developed assessment tools to carry out evaluation and investigation for normal school students.The results of the survey show that firstly,among the respondents in the school,the teaching-media-design ability and teaching-background-analysis ability are generally poor,the mean values are 2.11 and 2.19,respectively;Secondly,the teaching-design ability is different in sex.Specifically,there are differences in these seven abilities: students' feature and needs-analysis ability,teaching-method-selection ability,teaching-process-design ability,teaching-activity-design ability,homework-design-ability,analysis ability of teaching design scheme,and evaluation ability of teaching effect(P<0.05).In all the 16 items of the survey,the abilities of the female were better than the male;Thirdly,there are also differences in the teaching-design ability in the professional category.Specifically,it shows differences in ability of teaching method use,teaching-media-selection ability,and ability of teaching media use(P<0.05).The ability of science majors is generally better than that of liberal arts.Fourthly,the performance of the students in different majors and different grades is different.For example,for the normal students of political major,the worst performance is the teaching-media-selection ability(mean value is 2.41);For the students of chemical major,the worst performance is the ability to analyze the content of the teaching materials and the ability to determine the key and difficult points of teaching(mean value is 2.10);For the students of biological major,the worst performance is the ability of teaching media selection(mean value is 2.09).Based on the results of this survey,some suggestions were put forward on.Firstly,we should pay attention to gender,professional background and grade differences when training normal school students' instructional design ability.We could do some survey at first,then take different strategies in a targeted way.Secondly,we should strengthen the training of the teaching-media-design ability and the teaching-background-analysis ability.In the survey,the author found that these two abilities are generally weak among the respondents,so we should focus on the cultivation of these two abilities.Thirdly is to strengthen practice exercise.Instructional design ability is a capability to emphasize practice.After investigation,the instructional design ability of senior students is generally good,which is related to the practice of educational practice.Therefore,we should strengthen the practical training of instructionaldesign.Fourthly,we should pay attention to the basic theory of teaching design.Instructional design is supported by many theories.When training and improving the instructional design ability of normal students,we should focus on developing the solid theoretical foundation of teaching design.
