Research On The Practical Teaching Status Of Hotel Management Major In Higher Vocational Colleges

As a labor-intensive industry,the hotel industry is increasingly demanding skilled and well-trained application-oriented and skilled personnel.However,at present,the hotel management profession of higher vocational colleges is difficult to adapt to the rapid development of the hotel industry,and there is a certain degree of dislocation in the relationship between supply and demand.Higher vocational hotel management is a highly practical profession,which determines the role of practical teaching in the training of higher vocational talents is crucial.In the rapid development of higher vocational hotel education and the continuous improvement of the social employment mechanism,whether the vitality of a higher vocational college can continue,whether students can stand out in the employment competition,and whether the school can stand in an invincible position in the fierce competition?Both are closely related to the perfection of the hotel practical teaching system in higher vocational colleges.It is of great significance to recognize the status quo of practical teaching in high-end hotel management and optimize the practical teaching system to improve the practical ability of hotel management students in higher vocational colleges,improve the teaching level of teachers,and meet the needs of talents in the development of hotel industry.This paper mainly focuses on the investigation of students,vocational college teachers and hotel employers in the hospitality management of higher vocational colleges.It uses literature,survey and interview methods to study the practical teaching of hotel management in higher vocational colleges.At present,the paper analyzes the main problems existing in the practical teaching activities,and on this basis,puts forward suggestions for improving the practical teaching of hotel management in higher vocational colleges.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the research background,research significance,research status,concept definition,research methods and technical routes.The second part is the research process,which is the investigation of the current situation of the hotel management professional practical teaching system in higher vocational colleges and put forward the three major problems existing in the management professional practical teaching system;the third part seeks the reasons for the problems arising from the investigation;the fourth part proposes specific improvement strategies for the main problems existing in the practical teaching of hotel management in higher vocational colleges.
