Mindfulness training is a psychological and behavioral training method originating from the thought of Eastern Zen.It advocates conscious and objective awareness of internal psychological events, acceptance of negative psychological state, and no response to it,so as to achieve excellent behavioral performance.Psychological fatigue in competitive sports is a kind of mental and physical fatigue caused by athletes' long-term monotonous and repetitive special training under the pressure of high-load and high-intensity training and competition.Teenagers have relatively large emotional fluctuations, strong desire for sports results, and hope to enter a higher level of sports teams. Therefore, through the mindfulness training experiment of young fencers in Jiangsu Sports School, this study explores the intervention effect, and provides theoretical and practical guidance for alleviating the psychological fatigue of young fencers.By means of literature, questionnaire, interview, experiment, observation and mathematical statistics,24 athletes were studied. They were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,12 in a group. The experimental group received 8 weeks of mindfulness training. The results show that:(1)The mental fatigue degree of young fencers in Jiangsu Sports School is medium, and the order of dimensions from high to low is achievement reduction dimension,emotional/physical exhaustion dimension and sports devaluation dimension, respectively. There is no difference in mental fatigue between the sexes.(2)After 8 weeks of experiment, the mindfulness training group had a significant improvement in the total score, observation, description and conscious action dimension of the Five-Factor Mindfulness Questionnaire(FFMQ)(p<0.05),and the dimension of non-judgment and non-reaction had a tendency to increase, but there was no significant difference(p>0.05);while the control group had no statistical significance in each score(p>0.05).(3)After 8 weeks of experiment, the mindfulness training group had a significant improvement in the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire(AAQ-?)score(p<0.05),while the control group had no statistical significance(p>0.05).(3)After 8 weeks of experiment, the scores of emotional/physical exhaustion and devaluation of exercise in the mindfulness training group were significantly decreased(p<0.05),while the scores of achievement decreased, but there was no significant difference(p>0.05),while the scores of each dimension in the control group were not significant(p>0.05).(4)After 8 weeks of experiment, the results of the mindfulness training group increased significantly(p<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the control group and the mindfulness training group(p>0.05).(5)Eight weeks after the experiment, coaches and athletes interviews generally gave positive evaluation.(6)After 8 weeks of experiment, there was no significant difference in all data between male and female athletes(p>0.05).The research proves that 8-week mindfulness training is effective in intervening young fencers' mental fatigue, improving their mindfulness level and acceptance level, clarifying their values and defining their behavior direction, improving their sports performance, alleviating and improving their mental fatigue, mainly reducing the emotional and physical fatigue related to training and competition, and recovering.Feelings and concerns about sports itens and performance quality;8-week mindfulnesstraining has the same effect on the gender of young fencers in Jiangsu Sports School.
