Education is responsible for continuing and developing human civilization since ancient time,which has delivered a batch of talen'ts for social progress.Education needs to keep moving and developing with the times to follow,even lead the development direction of society.Education not only train talents to have the ability to stand on the current society,but also have the ability to learn for life to better cope with future life.According to the conditions above,the key competencies concept will give the departure point and developing direction to modern education.The key competencies aims to cultivate people who develop in multiple fields and lay the foundation for lifelong education.It will be helpful for students to adapt to world changing and contribute their efforts.Generally,cultivating the key competencies of the Chinese Language subject can make students competitive in the future since it is a foundation subject united by instrumentality and humanity.The establishment of the key competencies of the language enables students to be competitive in the future social life,always have the ability to communicate with others,sensitive and active thinking,the ability to appreciate the beauty of life and the sense of national pride.The elective course and the compulsory course are both important parts of the Chinese language course and complemented for each other of.As known as,the Chinese language elective course system has been introduced about 100 years in China.Currently,Chinese language electives is more important,since the quality education introduced,because it could make the high school Chinese curriculum more flexible,abundant and diverse,It gives schools and teachers more power to choose their own language elective course materials.Schools can select and choose textbooks,teaching strategies and methods according to the level and characteristics of students,and stimulate students' enthusiasm and interest in learning to promote the development of students' personality.It can be seen that the characteristics of the language elective course are very conducive to the cultivation of the key competencies of the language.This paper investigated and analyzed the Chinese language electives of Yanbian NO.2 High School via different methods to summarize its successful experience and issues in practice It was expected to provide the reference for other schools.In summarized,there are five chapters in the article.The first chapter introduces the relevant background information of the topic which is the theoretical foundation.The second chapter deeply expounds the theoretical foundation of the Chinese elective courses teaching,including the requirements of Chinese elective courses in the curriculum criteria,the embodiment of the core literacy upon the language in the elective's textbooks and the importance of the elective courses of high school Chinese to cultivate students,key competencies.The third chapter expounds the teaching situation of Yanbian NO.2 High School,including the present teaching status,the choice of teaching materials,Class schedule,and the teaching strategies and methods for class scheduling.The forth chapter implements the theory of core literacy of the language into practice according to the actuality of Yanbian NO.2 High School,sums up experience and issues in practice.The fifth chapter provides the author's own recommendations on the issues explored during the daily work,hopefully for readers' further reference.
