Contemporary society has put forward new challenges and requirements for middle school history teachers.History teachers are bound to carry out the purpose of lifelong learning,constantly update and improve their knowledge structure,and rationally apply new ideas and new materials of history in classroom teaching.Professional reading is the only way to improve the professional ability of history teachers.In the background of the vigorous development of new media,digital resources provide convenience for the professional reading of history teachers:teachers can pay attention to the latest historical research trends,the hot spots of history disciplines through Internet information technology,and collect more intuitive and rare historical materials in textbooks to strengthen it.Self-discipline literacy.Therefore,middle school history teachers need to adapt to the development of the times and use new media for efficient professional reading.This research investigates the current situation of professional reading and the application of digital reading of middle school history teachers through questionnaires,mainly from the attitude of history teachers towards professional reading,the time arrangement of history teachers about professional reading,the tendency of history teachers to choose professional reading,the ways and means of history teachers' professional reading,and the professional reading of history teachers in the new media.The application of these five aspects is discussed,and case interviews are conducted to investigate the scope,category,degree of reading application of middle school history teachers on the new media platform and their attitudes towards the application of new media in the field of teachers' professional reading.Through investigation,it is found that the main reason that affects the professional reading of middle school history teachers is that the overweight pressure of reality leads to the lack of systematic and comprehensive reading for a whole period of time.Digital reading emerges as the times require,and is welcomed by teachers because of its convenience,rapidity and conformity to the new era of reading mode.The author then proceeds from a realistic point of view,makes a rational analysis of the problems existing in the professional reading of middle school history teachers and their causes,and from the perspective of thebenefit of digital reading to middle school history teachers under the background of new media,puts forward countermeasures from the aspects of teachers' personal,teaching and research team,teacher-student interaction and school construction,and encourages the group of history teachers to innovate reading.
