The "Newly Edited Chinese Textbook for Primary School" was a widely used Chinese textbook in the period of the Republic of China.It was written by the children's writer Lv Boyou,and was revised by Mr.Zhu Wenshu.It was published in 1937,a set of textbooks used for primary school(grades 1-4).The book consists of eight volumes,all of which were edited in accordance with the standards published by the Ministry of Education in July 1936,it was deeply loved by the students at that time.This paper takes the textbooks from 1 to 8 volumes of the"Newly Edited Chinese Textbook for Primary School" published by Shanghai Zhonghua Book Company in 1937 as the research object and analyzes the textual arrangement and selection characteristics to explore the social and political background during the period when this set of textbooks was produced,and the editor s educational thoughts,which can provide reference significance for the current primary school Chinese textbooks and teaching.This paper consists of four part s:Introduction,which mainly includes three aspects:research reasons,research summary,and research methods.The first chapter introduces background and style of the " Newly Edited Chinese Textbook for Primary School".This chapter starts from the discussion of the writing background and style of textbooks,and deeply explores the influence of the thought of this set of textbooks on the "Newly Edited Chinese Textbook for Primary School".The second chapter explores the concept of children s literature and the educational concept of "children-oriented" embodied in Mr.Lv Boyou s "Newly Edited Chinese Textbook for Primary School".This chapter further explores the background factors that led to this educational concept at the time of the children s literary view and the"children-oriented,education concept embodied in the 'Newly Edited Chinese Textbook for Primary School".The third chapter probes into the deleted contents of the textbooks during use,and the reasons for the deletion.This chapter starts from the deleted contents of the textbooks and digs into the reasons why the educational ideas embodied in the textbooks collided with the social politics at that time,which led to the deletion.The fourth chapter summarizes the enlightenment of "Newly Edited Chinese Textbook for Primary School" on the current textbooks.In the process of studying the"Newly Edited Chinese Textbook for Primary School",using dialectical vision and combining the requirements of the new era,this chapter sums up the experience brought about by it in terms "children-oriented" education concept and teaching materials compilation to Chinese education reform and Chinese textbooks construction in today s China.
