Extracurricular reading is a process of learning knowledge actively.It occupies a very important position in the subject of Chinese and is also a necessary extension of in-class reading.Extracurricular reading can enhance students' understanding ability,enrich their minds and improve their personality.Its importance is self-evident.As the main position of education,high school education requires educators to actively create a reading environment for students and guide them to read.High school students who take the college entrance examination as their main goal at this stage use their whole time to the Curricular learning,while ignoring extracurricular reading.The "Reading Crisis" is indisputable on the list of people's worries.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,extracurricular reading has also become the source of strength to enhance themselves.Based on the requirements of the new curriculum reform,the recognition of Chinese knowledge in class is far from enough,which puts forward higher requirements for students in the aspects of thinking ability,analysis,appreciation and reading breadth and depth.The author observes and investigates Wan'an middle School for one semester,and finds that the students' extracurricular reading situation is not optimistic.The paper chooses some students and teachers as the research objects.The paper adopts questionnaires and interviews to research the real situation of extracurricular reading in our school,and analyses the main problems that existing in,finds out the reasons,and optimizes the concept of extracurricular reading,the whole book reading,the integration of reading and writing,and the multiple utilization of reading notes.Personal suggestions are put forward.
