A Study On The Mainstream Ideological Education Of College Students In The Context Of The New Media

Mainstream ideology is the spiritual pillar and core values of a country and the nation,which decides what banner a country should hold and what path it should take.College students,as the youth group,are the future of a nation.College Students’ mainstream ideology is related to the development of the Party and our country,and an important guarantee for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation.With the fast development of network and communication technology,the youth are using new media more and more frequently.Interactive and random communication methods,open and pluralistic communication content have brought many conveniences and challenges to the education of College Students’ mainstream ideology.In the context of new media,it is necessary to re-orientate the education of College Students’ mainstream ideology,we need to innovate education idea,improve educationa mode and improve educational quality.This paper puts the mainstream ideology education of college students in the context of the new media and the New Era,supported by the New Media Theory and the Marxist Ideology Theory,through theoretical analysis,using questionnaires,in-depth interviews and other methods,this paper studies the mainstream ideology education of college students in a university of Central China,and understands the basic situation of College Students’ use of new media.This paper analyses the mainstream ideological education of college students from four dimensions: the use of personal new media,the teaching of Ideological and Political Courses,the teaching of the management departments of colleges and the impact of the social environment and others,and puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.The results of the investigation were as follows:(1)The emergence of new media has a certain impact on students’ mainstream ideological education.Although the mainstream ideological status of Marxism is unshakable,the values of Western society are using new media to capture college students in some visible or invisible forms,such as culture,news,entertainment and so on;(2)Identity of college students’ mainstream ideology is mainly related to the use of personal new media,the teaching of Ideologicaland political courses,education of management departments in universities and the impact of the social environment and others,which is positively related to the teaching of Ideological and Political Courses,education of management departments in universities and the impact of the social environment and others,negatively related to personal use of new media and has the most impact on students’ mainstream ideology;(3)At present,universities are still the main position consciousness of College students mainstream Ideological Education.Ideological and Political Courses is still the main classroom of ideological education for college students.The research shows that the mainstream ideological education system of this university is relatively good and the effect of education is relatively good because of the relatively rich teaching resources,the relatively perfect Ideological and Political Course faculty and teaching facilities,and the relatively prominent regional advantages.According to the results of the empirical research,this paper put forward as follows suggestions:in the context of new media,to carry out the mainstream ideology education of College students,we should unite the efforts of various parties and construct a cooperative education mechanism of mainstream ideology of college students covering students,teachers,management departments and social environment and others.College students should strengthen theoretical study and integrate into the mainstream ideology;Ideological and political teachers should innovate teaching methods to improve teaching quality;The management departments of college should optimize media management and strengthen public opinion control;Society should purify the environment of public opinion and do a good job in the direction of public opinion.
