People with intellectual disabilities have great difficulties in intellectual development and social adaptability,which leads to problems in their interactions with people.In order to enable people with intellectual disabilities to integrate into social life,they need to intervene in social skills.By analyzing past intervention patterns,it was found that the interventions for social skills of people with intellectual disabilities were effective,but their social scope was still limited.As an instant messaging tool,social media is an important means for people to socialize and an important part of people's lives.Social media can break the limitations of time and space,making people's social scope no longer limited,and its convenience and practicality are more obvious.As a part of the public,people with intellectual disabilities should have the right to use social media.However,due to mental deficiencies,they often become forgotten.People will ignore their right to use and further exacerbate their status quo from the public.Therefore,in this study,the researchers used social media intervention strategies to intervene in social skills for people with intellectual disabilities and explore the effectiveness of interventions.This study used a cross-behavior multi-detection design in a single subject study.The study involved two intellectual disabilities.The independent variable was a social media intervention strategy.WeChat was chosen as a social media tool.The dependent variable was social skills,including comforting others,asking for help,and inviting others.Visual analysis is used to quantify the collected data,and the social media usage records of the research subjects are collected as evidence.After the experiment is completed,interview the relevant subjects of the study object to obtain social validity data.research shows:Social media intervention strategies have immediate effects on the acquisition of social skills for people with intellectual disabilities;Social media intervention strategies have sustained the acquisition of social skills for people with intellectual disabilities;The social media intervention strategy has a classifying effect on the acquisition of social skills of people with intellectual disabilities;Social media intervention strategies have good social validity for the acquisition of social skills of people with intellectual disabilities.In order to provide reference for future research.The researchers also analyzed the factors affecting the research results,discussed the research,and put forward suggestions for the problems found in the research.
