The focus on tolerance is a positive response to the problems of how to resolve conflicts,how to maintain individuality in diversified development,and how to achieve win-win cooperation and common development in the context of multiple values.Tolerance is based on the objective factors of the diversity of the world,the difference of human beings,the relativity of truth and the clear understanding of people’s limited cognitive ability,which reflects a wise life attitude choice and the pursuit of life value.Tolerance contains profound thoughts on human nature,the development of society and the world.Its profound spiritual connotation has become an important criterion for dealing with interpersonal relations in today’s society and an important moral guarantee for social harmony and symbiosis.The emphasis on tolerance is the internal requirement for the establishment of universal ethics in the world.Tolerance,born of western religious doctrines,has gradually expanded to other secular disciplines such as politics,economics and culture,and the development of these disciplines has played a huge role in promoting,then,for the promote social progress and to develop a free and complete "people" of the education career also need nourishes the tolerant spirit.The purpose and destination of educational activities are "people",the purpose of education aimed at people’s personality development and self-realization.In the process of learning and growth,gradually form the formation of individuality,and attention from the external world to focus on people themselves,pay attention to the cultivation and promotion of people’s own values,and focus on construction of human spiritual.Precisely because of the differences between each individual life,vitality and uniqueness determines each object of education is a rich variety of plasticity and the infinite possibilities of the fresh life individual.Therefore,it is the mission and purpose of tolerance education to create a tolerant and flexible development space for students’ free growth,to cultivate students’ tolerance qualities,and to guide them to face the richness and individual differences of the world with positive,inclusive and open-minded eyes.This paper can be divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly explains the origin of the research,as well as the domestic and foreign research status of "tolerance" and "tolerance education",and finally expounds the research significance and research methods.The second part is the philosophical foundation of tolerance.The philosophical theoretical basis of tolerance is expounded from three aspects: human nature,ontology and epistemology.The third part is the connotation,value and characteristics of tolerance education.Firstly,it defines the concept of tolerance education and explains its basic connotation reasonably.Secondly,from the comprehensive and free development of human beings,the promotion of harmonious society,the construction of a good educational order,and the establishment of good interpersonal relationship,the four aspects of the value of tolerance education are elaborated.Finally,the characteristics of tolerance education are explained,tolerance education is an education that regards "people" as the ultimate goal.Respecting and non-humiliation of "people" is the prerequisite for implementing tolerance education.The fourth part examines the current situation of tolerance education,which is mainly divided into two aspects: "missing" tolerance and "misunderstanding" tolerance.First of all,from the educational value orientation,educational content,teaching methods,teacher-student relationship and teaching evaluation five aspects of tolerance education in school education "lack of tolerance" to explain the specific performance;The second is the "misreading" of tolerance education,including misunderstanding the real connotation of tolerance,adopting the way of indifference,accommodation and even connivance,and mistakenly treat tolerant education as an education that teaches the knowledge of tolerance education.The fifth part is the value orientation of tolerance education.From the pursuit of educational value,the education system implementation,the teaching way actual operation,the education main body relations turn four aspects to the education regards "the person" as the ultimate goal value pursue to carry on the explanation.The sixth part discusses the reasonable limit of tolerance education.First,it establishes that the defense line of tolerance is “justice”,and discusses the reasonable limits of tolerance education through the two fields of “private life field” based on freedom of choice and personal responsibility and “public life areas” based on moral constraints and legal punishment.
