Objective: This study attempts to study the effect of Latin dance-based exercise intervention on obese adolescents on the basis of previous experimental studies and valuable experience. After 8 weeks of exercise intervention,follow-up observation was continued for 12 weeks.Because there were few single-factor follow-up observational experimental studies on obese adolescents using similar exercise intervention,it is necessary to follow-up observation to obtain the results of obese adolescents' weight loss effect during summer vacation.During the intervention and follow-up period,BMI,waist-hip ratio, body fat percentage and QOL scores of obese subjects were measured three times, and the positive effects of exercise intervention on physical and mental health of obese adolescents were analyzed. Methods: According to the screening of overweight and obesity among school-age children and adolescents,38 subjects(15 males and 23 females)with simple obesity were enrolled in many primary and secondary schools in Yuncheng County,Heze City. The age of the subjects ranged from 10 to 17 years(the age set was based on the age at which adolescents began their puberty at 12 years old,but considering that some adolescents might advance their puberty, the minimum age was set at 10 years old).Sports intervention means include on-the-spot intervention and network-based remote video guidance;the forms of intervention include interesting Latin dance movements, basic strength and flexibility training related to Latin dance, and the use of relevant music in Latin dance teaching and training, diet as a regular diet.In this study, the participants were trained in Latin dance teaching three times a week,90 minutes each time,so that the participants could grasp the basic technical movements and achieve the goal of gradual learning to practice, which is a process of learning while practicing, and learning while practicing;supplemented by remote video guidance, the participants were trained in the dance classroom every week in addition to the on-site intervention teaching courses. The assistant instruction of a remote video is mainly to guide the subjects to conduct consolidation exercises by themselves or to pre-send the contents of the lesson in the form of transmission or online video,as well as to feedback the results of the exercises through the form of video, which serves as a link between the exercise weeks to achieve the consolidation effect. Results: The age span of the subjects included in this study is large and the average age is small. Therefore, the results of the study are divided into two levels.According to the general starting age of adolescents is 12 years old, there are two levels of analysis, one is over 12 years old,and the other is under 12 years old(including 12 years old).1.BMI: BMI of subjects over twelve years old showed a decreasing trend, before intervention = 31.64,after intervention = 31.57,after follow-up = 30.59,body weight increased slightly after intervention, and decreased significantly during the follow-up period.BMI of subjects under twelve years of age also showed a decreasing trend, which decreased significantly before and after intervention(before intervention = 23.31,after intervention = 23.10).During the follow-up period,BMI of subjects under twelve years of age increased slightly compared with that after intervention, and there was a trend of maintaining and increasing weight in three measurements.Overall,BMI values of all subjects decreased or maintained a trend of change.Weight showed a trend of control during the intervention, but there was no significant difference in the overall trend of change between the three measurements(P > 0.05).2.Waist-to-hip ratio: There is a decreasing trend in waist-hip ratio of subjects over twelve years old. There is almost no change before and after intervention, and it decreases by 0.02 during the follow-up period. There is a decreasing trend in waist circumference and hip circumference of subjects. There is a significant difference in the overall change trend of waist circumference(P<0.05);there is a decreasing trend in waist-hip ratio of subjects under twelve years old, which is equal to 0.89 before intervention. After intervention = 0.88,during follow-up = 0.87,waist circumference and hip circumference of subjects also showed a decreasing trend, but they all recovered during follow-up observation.Overall, the waist-hip ratio of all subjects decreased gradually, but there was no significant difference in the overall trend of the three measurements(P > 0.05).3.Body fat percentage: The body fat percentage of subjects over twelve years old and the sum of three skin fold thicknesses decreased gradually.Compared with before and after the intervention, the body fat percentage decreased by 3.06 and 11.08 mm,respectively. The decrease trend was smaller during the follow-up observation period. The decrease of subjects under twelve years old also showed a decreasing trend. The decrease before and after the intervention was significantly reduced by 3.06 and 10.51 mm,respectively, and during the follow-up observation period.A slight rebound.Generally speaking, the body fat percentage and the sum of the three skin fold thicknesses of all subjects decreased significantly before and after the intervention, and maintained the trend during the follow-up observation period, but there was no significant difference in the overall change trend of the three measurements(P > 0.05).4.QOL Scale: The total score of QOL of subjects over twelve years old increased gradually, before intervention = 129.64,after intervention = 132.64,after follow-up = 137.00.There was a significant difference between the three measurements(P < 0.05).The three measurements of social and psychological functions, physiological and mental health, living environment and satisfaction with quality of life of the scale were all significant.Increasing trend or continuous increasing trend, and there is a very significant difference in psychosocial function factors. The total score of QOL of subjects under twelve years old also shows a gradual increasing trend, before intervention = 151.40,after intervention = 157.44,after follow-up = 158.36,the overall change trend of the three measurements has a very significant difference P < 0.01,four factors of the scale. The change trend is basically the same as that of subjects over 12 years old. There are significant differences in physiological and mental health factors, and in living environment factors. Conclusion: Latin dance on-the-spot intervention training combined with remote video guidance can improve BMI,body weight,waist-hip ratio, body fat percentage and quality of life and mental health of obese adolescents, and has a certain benign effect within 12 weeks after intervention.
