PURPOSE: The increasing prevalence rate of adolescent obesity has become a great hidden danger, which will not only seriously affect the physical function of adolescents, but also easily cause mental health problems of adolescents. In this paper, eight weeks of exercise and dietary intervention was carried out to observe the changes of physical shape, mental health and social physical anxiety in obese adolescents.on the basis of predecessors' research, comparing before and after exercise and dietary interventions obese adolescents body shape and the difference of psychological health and social physique anxiety, for the obese adolescents weight management, improved the body form and physical health, improved the quality of mental health and reduce social physique anxiety to provide scientific theoretical basis and an effective way to lose weight.METHODS:Fifty-one obese adolescents aged 13-15 from the peak Weight Loss Summer Camp of Hangzhou Base in 2021 were selected as experimental subjects for an 8-week experimental intervention(including exercise and dietary intervention). The main content of the exercise was aerobic endurance and strength training;Dietary intervention was divided into diet 1,diet 2 and diet 3 according to individual body weight and basic metabolism.Calorie intake was strictly controlled while nutrition was guaranteed. The intensity of the exercise class is mainly moderate, and the heart rate is controlled within the range of 60%-70%.By the method of index determination, obese adolescents body shape measurement, and questionnaire investigation was carried out on the obese adolescents' mental health scale of middle school students ""social physique anxiety scale",finally to eight weeks before and after exercise and dietary interventions collection of body shape, mental health and social physique anxiety data.Spss22 was used to analyze the data of 51 obese adolescents before and after the intervention, and to compare the changes of physical shape, mental health and social physical anxiety before and after the exercise and diet intervention.RESULTS:(1)Body shape changes of obese adolescents before and after intervention After eight weeks of intervention, all indicators of body shape of obese adolescents improved significantly. There were significant differences in body shape indexes such as body weight and circumference before and after intervention(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in body fat percentage before and after intervention. There were significant differences in body shape indexes of obese female adolescents, especially before and after weight intervention(P <0.05),but no significant downward trend in other indexes(P >0.05).(2)Changes of mental health of obese adolescents before and after intervention The total score of mental health test of obese adolescents before exercise and diet intervention was 2.45,and they were in mild mental health problems as a whole. After eight weeks of intervention, the total mean score of mental health of obese adolescents was 2.05,and that of obese males was 1.96,which returned to the healthy level. The average score of obese female adolescents was 2.16,which was still at the level of mild mental health, but the mental health score was significantly different before and after intervention(P <0.05).(3)Changes of social physical anxiety in obese adolescents before and after intervention Before the intervention, the overall level of social physical anxiety of obese adolescents was 50.6,which was on the high and serious level. After the intervention, the total score of social physical anxiety decreased by 13.32,in which the worry dimension of negative evaluation of others showed the biggest difference compared with the other two dimensions. The three dimensions of social physical anxiety decreased significantly(P <0.01),and the decrease of obese female adolescents was more significant than that of obese male adolescents(P <0.01).CONCLUSION:(1)After exercise and dietary intervention, body weight, chest circumference, waist circumference, hip circumference, thigh circumference,BMI,body fat rate and other indicators decreased significantly, and there were significant differences before and after intervention. The downward trend of obese male adolescents was more significant than that of obese female adolescents. The overall weight loss is still not up to the standard of physical health of teenagers. Therefore,it is suggested to continue to follow up after the camp, implement more targeted personal exercise and diet programs, such as using network punch card exercise, weekly body shape test, etc.,and summarize weekly and constantly update and improve the exercise program.(2)Before exercise and dietary intervention, the mental health problems of obese female adolescents were more serious than that of obese male adolescents. After eight weeks, the mental health problems of obese female adolescents decreased to different degrees, and the decline of obese female adolescents was more significant.Carry out psychological lectures to teenagers, guide them to look at problems in two parts, and adopt some operational emotional regulation methods, such as self-suggestion method and attention transfer method.(3)Before the exercise and diet intervention, the social physical anxiety of obese adolescents was more serious, the social physical anxiety of obese female adolescents was significantly higher than that of obese male adolescents, but through the exercise and diet intervention, the three dimensions of social physical anxiety were reduced, and the decrease was significant.Women are more likely to have social physical anxiety,so we should correctly understand their own physique, regain confidence to get out of the anxiety misunderstanding, into the collective exercise life.
