China has implemented the enrollment expansion policy since 1999.As a result,the development of university education flourished.The increase in college enrollment has led to the upgrading of infrastructure such as teaching buildings,gymnasiums and student dormitories.So the number of engineering projects in universities has increased significantly.However,the research and application of risk management in the field of infrastructure projects in domestic universities are relatively few,and the risk management lags behind the European and American countries.Moreover,due to the characteristics of large-scale,wide-ranging and comprehensive construction projects in Colleges and universities,as well as the problems of weak risk awareness,lack of professionals and lack of risk prevention measures,it is imperative to strengthen the risk management and related research of infrastructure projects in universities in China.Taking the renovation and expansion project of the kindergarten affiliated to H College as an example,this paper aims to study the risk management mechanism in line with the actual situation.Firstly,this paper expounds the related theories of risk management of university infrastructure projects,including the definition,process and classification of risk management.Secondly,this paper identifies the risks of the renovation and expansion project of the kindergarten affiliated to H College,including three stages:decision making,implementation and acceptance.Thirdly,using the analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the risk types of various stages of the project.Fourth,according to the risk type evaluation and comparison,this paper try to find out the greater risks in each stage and formulate the corresponding project risk response.Fifth,trying to provide risk protection measures from the organization,technology,contract and safety.At present,there are few studies on risk management of university infrastructure projects.And more existing studies identify risks only from the qualitative perspective,so the proposed risk management scheme is not targeted.This paper,the specific project as the research object,identifies and evaluates the project through analyzing its own characteristics and environment,using qualitative and quantitative methods.So the risk control measures are more objective and pertinent,which can be used for reference in the research and practice of risk management of such projects.
