Master’s degree students and tutors relationship refers to the interaction between graduate students and tutors in the process of graduate training.The two main bodies of the relationship between masters and advisors are graduate students and tutors.Postgraduates are the main body of education,and tutors are the guides of the educational process.The relationship between them has an important impact on education.Harmonious relationship between masters and mentors is conducive to improving the quality of postgraduate training and promoting the scientific research and personal development of postgraduates.Masters and mentors’ conflict is an implicit or explicit confrontation between master students and their mentors in the process of training.The tense relationship between master students and mentors will lead to difficulties in communication,affect the quality of training and the efficiency of mentors’ guidance,and hinder the smooth progress of master education.Based on the hypothesis of masters and mentors conflict mode,taking three universities in Chongqing as an example,this paper studies the phenomenon of conflict between full-time Master students and tutors,verifies the hypothesis,analyses the causes of masters and mentors conflict,and finds out the ways to mitigate the conflict.In the investigation of the performance of masters and mentors conflict,using questionnaires and interviews,it is found that masters and mentors conflict is mainly presented from three dimensions: academic research,curriculum learning and daily management.Conflicts in academic research mainly include dissension in thesis writing and divergence in research opinions.Conflicts in curriculum learning are mainly manifested in the different orientations of academic planning and the different opinions on academic guidance.The conflicts in daily management are mainly manifested in the conflict between time management and communication willingness.According to the investigation and analysis of the conflict between tutors of full-time master’s degree students,it is found that the main causes of the conflict are the Differences and deficiencies between teachers and students;the negligence of school management and the obstruction of social influence.The reasons for learning guidance include background differences,inadequate communication,unclear understanding of rights and responsibilities,and inadequate understanding of the conflict between learning guidance,etc.The reasons for the school mainly include the contradictions caused by the school’s relatively little education related to the conflict,the less psychological counseling of the two sides,the negligence of the management of teachers and students,and the large gap between the master’s and tutor’s distribution.The social reasons include mainly economic needs affecting education and pure and exceptional conflicts misleading normal conflicts.Therefore,the strategy to ease the conflict between master students and mentors must first enhance the ability of teachers and students to communicate,clarify their rights and responsibilities,and face up to conflicts,mainly through respecting different concepts and improving communication skills;Increase communication between master students and mentors;Guide both sides to look directly at the conflict and clarify the rights of the four aspects;Second,we will implement a system of mutual evaluation for master students and mentors,and strengthen management and psychological counseling,including increasing the number of communication hours,implementing a system of mutual evaluation,and strengthening education in psychological counseling.We will reduce negative impacts and strengthen integrated management,and pay attention to capacity training and increasing the introduction of talents from mentors.Reasonable control of the number of master students;Finally,we should face up to the conflicts of special cases and promote normal harmony.
