With the Second World War,competition among countries in the field of higher education is fierce,and the quality of higher education has also received widespread attention.Globalization and informational of the economy make the competition of higher education more intense in the world,and promote the cooperation and exchange of educational undertakings in various countries.Quality is the lifeline of higher education and the basis for the survival and development of higher education.Although higher education in Australia develops relatively late compared with other countries,it develops at a faster speed,with higher academic level of teachers and students,and the basic popularization of higher education in Australia.However,with the increasing number of people receiving higher education,the quality of higher education in Australia decreases gradually.In order to solve the problem of higher education quality,the Australian Education Commission has formulated the Australian Framework of Higher Education Quality Standards in 2011,and then revised the Framework.The Australian Framework of Higher Education Quality Standards in 2015 has been put into operation.This paper uses literature research,comparative analysis and content analysis to study the formulation of Australian higher education quality standards.Firstly,it collects literature materials to study the background,main body and process of the formulation of Australian higher education quality standards.Secondly,it analyses the higher education standards and teaching in Australia's Framework of Higher Education Quality Standards in 2015.The content and regional distribution of academic standards and academic qualifications standards are compared with those corresponding to Australian Higher Education Quality Standards Framework 2011.The characteristics of Australian Higher Education Quality Standards in 2015 after the new revision are summarized and analyzed.The case study method is used to study Melbourne University and Melbourne University for Australia.The implementation strategy of higher education quality standards.Based on the current situation of the standards of higher education,teaching and academic qualifications in China,the characteristics of Australian higher education quality standards and their implementation in Melbourne University are analyzed in order to provide some inspiration and reference for the formulation of higher education quality standards in China.
