With the new reform and development of physics curriculum education in China,the improvement of physics teachers,especially the professional development,is particularly important.To promote the further development of physics education in China,senior high school physics teachers,as a special profession,have certain standards and requirements for their professional knowledge and scientific literacy.At the same time,self-improvement in professional knowledge and scientific literacy is the basic guarantee for the development of high school physics education itself,and it is also the basic requirement for high school physics education to conform to the progress of contemporary society.In this paper,the physical teachers of Pingdingshan No.1 High School and Lushan County three high schools in Henan Province are taken as the research and investigation objects.Based on the achievements of the research on teachers' improvementt at home and abroad,the methods of questionnaires and literature research are mainly used to investigate and study the ways of self-improvement of these teachers' professional abilities,and it is found that senior high school physics teachers' professional abilities are in the improvement process.There are some problems in the improvement,such as ambiguous orientation,lack of initiative,insufficient social security and lack of ways.The three ways of improvement,namely,teaching reflection,school-based training and master of in-service education,are described in detail.In view of the existing problems,the author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.In the way of teaching reflection,senior high school physics teachers should enhance their awareness of teaching reflection,and the corresponding departments should formulate the evaluation system of teaching reflection.In the way of school-based training,schools can enrich the form and content of school-based training,formulate the plan of school-based training and evaluate the implementation of school-based training.In the way of Master of Education,high schools and teachers themselves should attach importance to the training of Master of Education in-service,and schools should enrich the curriculum form of Master of Education in-service.Finally,in order to better promote senior high school physics teachers to achieve professional self-improvement,the author also gives four suggestions: Introducing MOOC platform,setting up teachers' professional improvement schools,increasing investment and establishing "teacher-worship learning" learning mode.
