As a branch of physical education,sports games are specialized games that promote the general development of the body and have a close relationship with entertainment and special skills of competitive sports.Sports games play an important role in improving the physical quality of primary school students and improving their interest in sports learning.The fun of sports games and competitive strong,easy to arouse pupils’ interest in physical education learning,so that the pupils to the initiative and active participation of sports activities are improved,and the competitive and added movement intense atmosphere for sports games,game victory results in the process of pursuit,provides participants with a chance of winning and hope,and the elementary student’s sports games can better mining potential.This paper mainly adopts the methods of literature review,field investigation,interview,experiment,mathematical statistics and other research methods,and takes64 students of the third grade of yutaoyuan primary school of Beijing no.2experimental primary school as the experimental object to conduct the experiment teaching for 12 weeks.Reference to primary school grade three sports and health teaching outline,the form and content of the plait and design the game,with reference to the national physical training standards,selection of 50 meters in succession,crook proneness,standing long jump,a minute sit-ups,rope skipping,hands behind medicine balls for one minute test indicators,respectively as the measure and elegant pupil speed,endurance,strength,quality and flexibility quality.By testing the physical fitness indexes of the subjects before and after the experiment,the measured data of the physical fitness indexes before and after the experiment were summarized,statistically analyzed and processed with Excel and SPSS23.0 software.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)through the development of the 12-week sports game course,the longitudinal comparison and analysis of the physical quality indicators of the experimental group showed that sports games could promote the improvement of the physical quality indicators of the students,which was reflected in the significant difference in strength quality and endurance quality,and the difference in flexibility and speed quality.(2)the control group was given routine physical education course teaching for 12 weeks.Through the longitudinal comparison of various physical fitness indicators,it was concluded that routine physical education course teaching had no significant effect on improving students’ physical fitness,such as speed quality,endurance quality,strength quality and flexibility quality.(3)in the experimental group and the control group students make a horizontal contrast with the physical quality indicators before and after the experiment concluded that students before and after the experiment in the speed,strength,stamina and flexibility,quality,etc.A significant difference on the indicators,which is most obvious to improve the quality of endurance quality and strength,speed and flexible qualities also appears relatively differences.This shows that sports games can quickly improve students’ strength,endurance,speed,flexibility and other physical qualities.(4)according to the statistics and analysis of various indicators of physical fitness before and after the experiment of the experimental class and the control class,it is concluded that the passing rate of students in the experimental class increases obviously,among which the growth of strength quality is the most obvious.The physical quality of the students in the control class did not improve obviously and even declined.This shows that sports games can enhance the enthusiasm and initiative of pupils in physical exercise class,and sports games are accepted by pupils physically and mentally,which is a feasible teaching method to enhance pupils’ physique and health.With its unique project characteristics and novel forms,sports games can not only enrich the content of physical education and health courses,but also promote primary school students’ active participation in sports activities.In the end,primary school students’ physical quality indicators and test scores can be greatly improved.It is suggested that schools should strengthen the development of game curriculum and measures to make it a feature of physical education.
