In ancient China,there is a record that "the text is not enough to supplement the picture,the picture is not enough to describe the text",which shows the importance of illustrations in books.The illustration has the direct image characteristic to be able to help the student to understand the text content directly,especially to the elementary student who is in the image thought to the abstract thought transition stage,but also has the extraordinary important function.As students' minds are not mature enough,they will not pay attention for a long time in class.They may be distracted by too much attention to illustrations,and they cannot independently use illustrations to help themselves learn after class.At the same time,teachers also lack the awareness of illustration teaching and the skills of illustration teaching.Therefore,the teaching design that combines illustration with text seems to be inadequate and cannot make good use of illustration as a resource for teaching.This paper takes the use of illustrations of ancient Chinese poems in the primary school as the research object,adopts the method of literature review and survey to study the topic selection,and conducts a questionnaire survey on the use of illustrations of ancient Chinese poems by teachers and students in the primary school.At the same time,a number of teachers and students were interviewed about the use of illustrations,mainly to understand the teachers and students' cognition of illustrations and the use of illustrations.This paper analyzes the problems and causes in the use of illustrations by teachers and students,and puts forward some Suggestions on the use of illustrations.This paper has five chapters to analyze and expound the research content:The introduction elaborates on the research values and ideas of the proposed problems,and focuses on the literature review of illustration studies and the definition of coreconcepts.The second chapter is the illustration teaching basis,involves the illustration teaching theory foundation student's study psychology thought experience memory compiles this ancient poem illustration teaching auxiliary function and so on the content.The third chapter summarizes the basic situation of the illustrations of ancient poetry in volumes 1-4 from the main features and shortcomings of the illustrations.In the fourth chapter,questionnaire survey and interview are conducted from the two aspects of teachers and students to analyze the problems and main reasons in the process of using illustrations.The fifth chapter,through the analysis of the problems and reasons in the previous chapters,puts forward Suggestions for teachers and students to use ancient poetry illustrations.It is hoped that the study of this paper can arouse the attention of front-line teachers to illustration teaching,and master some basic skills and methods of illustration teaching,so as to truly realize the transformation from teaching materials to teaching materials.
