Reading is a necessary skill for human beings to study and work.Most of human knowledge is obtained through reading.After the age of 3,children enter the basic critical period of reading ability development,and after the age of 3,children spend half of their time in kindergarten everyday,so kindergarten is very important to children’s reading training.With the development of society and economy,children’s reading activities are paid more and more attention by the international preschool education circles and even the whole society.Through consulting related materials and observing the kindergarten reading area,the author finds that the kindergarten reading activity is not optimistic,there are some problems in practice,and the effect is not satisfactory.Through some research methods,the author analyzes the environment of kindergarten reading area,the routine of kindergarten reading area activities,the organization and implementation of kindergarten reading area activities,and the teacher’s behavior in reading area activities.The results of the study are divided into four aspects: the physical environment and the psychological environment of kindergarten,including regional environment,supporting facilities and wall environment;the psychological environment is mainly from the teachers’ attitude to children and the reading atmosphere created for children;the regular aspects of activities,mainly from the input of reading materials and the time arrangement of reading activities;the organization and implementation of activities,from the planning links before the activities,the implementation of the activities,the review links after the activities;the behavior of teachers,mainly from the teachers’ guidance and teacher-child interaction aspects.The main problems are as follows: First,the creation of the environment is ineffective and superficial;Second,the routine of the activity in the kindergarten reading area is defective,there are problems in the material delivery and the time arrangement of the activity;Third,the organization and implementation of the activity are not standardized;Fourth,the effective participation of teachers in the activity in the kindergarten reading area is insufficient.Based on the analysis of the existing problems,the author puts forward some suggestions on the aspects of material environment and psychological environment,material delivery and time coordination,activity organization and implementation,teacher practice and teaching research.
