At first,top priority should be given to education in the process of poverty alleviation,the first step of poverty alleviation through education is to make students wise,confident and with positive and healthy aspirations,then students will study hard,work hard,and have the confidence and ability to get rid of poverty.The rural primary schools have benefited significantly from the poverty alleviation policy,but this policy delivered little results on the growth of individual students.Under the support of national education and poverty alleviation,hardware facilities in schools have been improved,such as the continuous building of sports fields,music classrooms,multimedia classrooms,and love book houses.However,these resources have been rarely used.Take the Love Bookstore as an example,every rural school has a large library in which the books donated from all walks of life are large in amount and varied.However,these books,less open to the public,are not effectively used.With few opportunity and weak sense of reading,students seldom read these books,and most of them have been mothballed for a long time in bookstores.The effective use of these educational resources is the key of poverty alleviation and the education in rural schools,especially to play the role of "love book house”.This paper mainly focus on the current situation of poverty alleviation through education in Mianxian County and analyses the reasons of this problem.Besides,the author also gave her own opinion about how to solve this problem based on the " love book house”The full text is divided into three parts:With the precision poverty alleviation policy as the starting point,the first chapter explains the meaning of poverty alleviation through education,the definition of poverty-stricken areas,and the benefits of rural schools brought by poverty alleviation through education.It also expounds the current situation of extracurricular reading research in rural primary schools,and demonstrates the important role of extracurricular reading in the development of students in poverty-stricken areas and the new socialist countryside.Based on practice and in-depth education in rural schools,the second chapter investigates the current situation of extracurricular reading of students in several rural primary schools in Mianxian County and finds out its existing problems.The third chapter systematically analyzes the problems in students’ extracurricular reading and provides solutions to this problem.Relying on the unique “Love Book House” in poverty-stricken areas,the dual functions of resources and platforms will be fully play.On the one hand,teachers can use it to guide students’ extracurricular reading in an all-round way and improve their reading ability.On the other hand,teachers creatively use their love to make the book house as a platform where students can exchange knowledge,thinking,and emotion,as well as motivate their reading interest and improve their reading ability.In this way,students in these poverty-stricken areas can be cultivated in terms of mind and emotion.Besides,they can increase their confidence in reading,understand the meaning of life,and have a positive attitude toward various obstacles in study and life,and strive to improve themselves all the time. |
