The whole book provides a broad cultural field and enrichment of spiritual life for junior high school students' learning Chinese language and literature.Thus,reading a whole book is not only conducive for them to enriching knowledge,raising awareness,and cultivating sentiment,but also conducive to improving reading ability,cultivating reading habits,and developing language literacy.With the continuous updating of reading-teaching ideas in Chinese curriculum standards and the proposal of Chinese core literacy idea,“reading a whole book” has been widely recognized by the experts and scholars in education and those Chinese teachers in the first line.It has aroused great attention.Researchers have explored the idea of “reading a whole book” from various perspectives such as curriculum,teaching guidance and effect evaluation,resulting in great achievements in many fields.Judging from the current guidance situation of the “reading a whole book”,front-line teachers hold a positive attitude towards this concept,but there are still many problems in guiding students to read a whole book effectively in actual teaching,which to some extent brings negative influence to their reading effect.Based on the actual problem junior high school teachers would face when providing reading-a-whole-book guidance,this paper analyzes the crux of the problem,and tries to construct a scientific,systematic and well-organized staged guiding framework for junior high school students' reading a whole book.This paper aims to provide practical and operable guiding methods to continuously improve teachers' efficiency in reading guidance and enhance students' ability in reading a whole book.In a word,it helps to promote both Chinese teachers' reading guidance ability and students' core Chinese literacy.The main body of this paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter mainly introduces the definition of the concepts related to “staged guidance for junior high school students' reading a whole book” and also expounds the fundamental basis for adopting the staged guidance.The second chapter respectively expounds the necessity and feasibility of using the staged guidance in such context according to the current situation of Chinese teaching reform and the reality of junior high school students' language learning.The third chapter elaborates on the criteria for selecting the content to use the staged reading guidance,and on the basis of which determines the three steps of initial reading,close reading and quality reading.The fourth chapter provides effective guiding methods in accordance with the guiding contents of different stages.The fifth chapter offers a case study of the staged guidance for junior high school students' reading a whole book,which applies the theoretical framework to practice.Taking Camel Xiangzi as an example,I have designed a concrete implementary scheme of staged guidance in reading a whole book for the front-line teachers to apply to teaching.
