The Task-Based Language Teaching and the Thematic Based Approach are currently the most extensively applied teaching methods in the range of international Chinese teaching with long term practical application and its successful researching harvests to support. The thematic teaching methods on the basis of task mode is a compound creative new style teaching method combining with the task mode teaching method’s teaching process and teaching laws and choosing the teaching contents according to the teaching requirements of thematic teaching method at the same time; framing and outlining by the thematic teaching method with tasks filled in the themes in every branch, and then let tasks to connect tasks, let tasks to open and develop the themes.To further investigate the applied situation on the thematic teaching method of the foreign Chinese teaching base on the task mode, this thesis regard two Chinese classes in U-Thong School of Suphanburi as examples, initiated a two months teaching practice. During the teaching process, the author regarded the thematic teaching methods on the basis of task mode as guide, edited teaching plans for class. After the teaching practices, the author had the following conclusions listed as the strengths of this teaching method. First, the class remained high comprehensiveness to promote students’development and reduce the subjects’limits. Second, the various class contents met the needs of the students. Third, less pressure for students and various reputations for the teaching. But there were also three shortness of this teaching method being found out during the application. First, long term preparations for the classes and took long time to apply then easily caused the teaching progress turned to be slowly. Second, difficult to maintain the class orders. Third, might raised the deviations of students Chinese level and their interests and the theme of the task portions and difficulties.The research of this teaching method reminds further and deeper study for better push for the development of the foreign Chinese teaching filed. It’s a great hope for conclusions and inspiration of this thesis to be assistance and references for the following people to further study the thematic teaching methods on the base of task mode.
