Research purposes:Through the analysis of vitamin D receptor(VDR)gene BsmI polymorphism in southern Chinese han nationality college male students associated with physical fitness and bone density,in order to find biomarkers related from the genetic perspective.Research objects and methods:This study selected 120 Jiangxi Normal University Han male university students from southern,are healthy with no professional sports experience.Analyse the distribution characteristics of the VDR gene BsmI polymorphism by using PCR-RFLP method and test physical fitness,bone density and body composition and using the method of questionnaire to understand the level of physical activity and diet to explore correlation of its gene polymorphism.Results:1.The distribution characteristics of each genotype of VDR gene BsmI polymorphism between them are as follows: the largest is in bb genotype(72.5%);next is in Bb genotype(23.3%);BB genotype is the leastest(13.3%).2.There is a significant difference in the physical fitness test grade of passing and failing in VDR gene BsmI polymorphism genotype frequency distribution and distribution frequency in BB genotype of the passing is significantly higher than the fail's.3.There is a significant difference between each genotype with BMI and grip strength among southern Han college students(P<0.05).And the BB genotype's scores are significantly higher than those of the(Bb+BB)genotype in grip strength index,while significantly lower than the(Bb+BB)genotype's in BMI.4.There is a significant difference with 50 m scores between different genotypes among students of suitable physical activity level(P<0.05)and 50 m scores in BB genotype are significantly higher than the(Bb+BB)genotype's.But there is a significant difference in BMI and grip strength between different genotypes among students of high physical activity level(P<0.05)and the grip strength index in BB genotype is significantly better than that in(Bb+BB)genotype,while BMI significantly lower than that in(Bb+BB)genotype.5.There is a significant difference with grip strength index between different genotypes among the people who drink three times a week and below(P<0.05)and and grip strength index in the BB genotype are significantly higher than those in(Bb+BB)genotype.Among the people who drink more than three times per week,there is a significant difference with grip strength index(P<0.05)and the grip strength index in BB genotype is significantly higher than that in(Bb+BB)genotype.6.Among southern Han male undergraduates there are significantly differences between different genotypes with LLEFFSM/ILBM?RLEFFSM/ILBM and visceral fat area(P<0.05).LLEFFSM/ILBM ? RLEFFSM/ILBM in BB genotype are significantly higher than those in(Bb+BB)genotype,but visceral fat area was significantly lower than that in(Bb+BB)genotype.7.Among the people in active physical activity level,there is a significant difference between different genotypes with visceral fat area and the visceral fat area in BB genotype is significantly lower than that in(Bb+BB)genotype.8.Among the people who drink milk more than three a week,there is a significant difference between different genotypes with RLEFFSM/ILBM and RLEFFSM/ILBM is significantly higher than that in(Bb+BB)genotype.9.There is no significant difference with the bone mineral density between different genotypes among the Han male undergraduates in the south.Discussion:1.Among Southern Han male undergraduates,there is an association between VDR gene BsmI polymorphism and fitness index(50m?1000m?grip strength index?BMI).And it can be used as a biological marker to explain the difference of physical fitness.2.Among Southern Han male undergraduates,there is an association between VDR gene BsmI polymorphism and body composition index(LLEFFSM/ILBM?RLEFFSM/ILBM?visceral fat area).And it can be used as a biological marker to explain the difference of body composition index.3.Among Southern Han male undergraduates,there is no association between VDR gene BsmI polymorphism and bone mineral density.
