Dance movement therapy is one of the expressive art therapies,which mainly applies the combination of body and movement to the psychological therapy in order to promote the individual's integration of emotion,cognition,physiology and sociality and finally to promote the development of the psychological health Based on the data analysis,this paper studies the four parts' effects of dancing group adjuvant therapy on elementary school students' self-concept,creativity,emotion's expression and adaptability.Firstly,the concept,basic theory and development course of the dance movement therapy are introduced and the related concepts and basic heories of group counseling are defined in this study.Secondly,the influence of Laban movement analysis theory,Sternberg movement analysis theory,related theories to the psychological counseling and psychotherapy,the theory of division of labor in the two hemispheres of the brain as well as the psychological development characteristics of primary school students are used as the theoretical basis for the design of the research program.Thirdly,to do an experiment.Two classes with no difference in pre-test are selected according to the method of homogeneity test,with 40 students in each class.The two classes are divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group receives one semester of strictly come dancing group counseling,which is conducted once a week for eight times,each time taking 45 minutes while the control group receives traditional mental health education with the equal time.After the experiment is completed,the results are tested and analyzed quantitatively.The statistical analysis theory is used to test the normal distribution of the frequency of each index in the post-test data information,to get the approximate normal distribution and to indicate the rationality of the experimental scheme design.At the same time,the data should meet the condition that the overall distribution required by variance analysis is normal distribution.Using the theory of variance analysis,the significance of the differences in self-concept,creativity,emotional expression and social adaptation between the control group and the experimental group is tested.The results shows that the experimental group has significant effects on emotional expression and social adaptation.However,there is no significant difference between self-concept and creativity,but the analysis of qualitative data shows that self-concept and creativity have gender differences under the main effect of gender,which conforms to the law of primary school students' psychological development.At last,the paper summarizes the whole research process and puts forward some suggestions and the prospects of future researches for the schools' psychological health education and the dance group counseling.Dance group counseling can play a positive role in people's mental health,not only in the school's mental health education course,but also can be extended to a deeper level.
