Research On How The Colleges And Universities In Hefei Cope With Social Public Opinions

With the rapid development of science and technology,the social transformation is accelerating and the demand for information is increasing rapidly.Information is obtained in increasingly diversified ways with accelerating speed.People's awareness of expressing their opinions is also constantly increasing.Moreover,there's a higher tendency that people's attention to social hot issues heats up and evolves into public opinions in a short period of time.Therefore,how to cope with issues of social public opinion has gradually become a concern of the industry and academic circles.Among them,colleges and universities,important units of the society and densely populated with relatively high cultural level,are generally paying more attention to social public opinions.Issues of social public opinions are also likely to cause chain reaction in higher education institutions,resulting in negative effects which put tremendous pressure on the security,stability and management of these schools.Consequently,studying the influence of social public opinions on higher education institutions and exploring the principles,ideas and specific measures of these schools to cope with social public opinions is very necessary in today's era of information network.This paper takes some colleges and universities in Hefei as examples,combines the transmission process of social public opinions in the current era of multi-source data and its new characteristics presented and focuses on the student management.It takes students as the main coping body,and studies how colleges and universities cope with issues of social public opinions systematically and comprehensively.Through literature retrieval,this paper makes full use of the academic literature databases such as CNKI and Baidu search engine to check the theoretical research and practical exploration results of colleges and universities in response to social public opinions.It collects relevant papers,books,documents,reports,data,etc.and consults the recent China's reports on social public opinions.On the basis of the above studies,a random sample questionnaire survey is carried out on students from some colleges and universities in Hefei to comprehensively understand how the colleges and universities in Hefei actually cope with social public opinions.The data obtained as feedback of the survey is collated and analyzed,and the problems revealed are summarized and analyzed.It points out that under the guidance of the relevant laws and policies promulgated by the state and in accordance with the regional characteristics of Hefei and the group characteristics of colleges and universities students combined with the patterns and characteristics of public opinion transmission,the "people-oriented" principle should be adhered to and targeted long-term and effective guidance be applied to achieve the purpose of management from"maintenance of stability "to" peace-making."We should make full use of the scientific and technological resource advantages of Hefei,"a famous city of science and education",apply new technologies and methods to the establishment of a management mechanism for higher education institutions to cope with public opinions.We should attach much importance to the collection,study,judgment and feedback of public opinions,to the early warning work before public opinions come into being,and to the construction of work teams of public opinions in higher education institutions.We should improve the media literacy of all the staff of the schools and integrate self-discipline with heteronomy to work together to build a healthy and active environment of information ecology of higher education institutions and give full play to their active social role to maintain the harmony and stability of the entire society.
