In recent years,the promotion and development of teenagers' scientific literacy have gradually be taken seriously,and the science popularization activities are emerging endlessly.As an important base of implementation of science popularization activity,science and technology museum(STM)is deepening and the complement to school science education.Guided by STEM education concept,this study is designed to realize the special education value of education activity by developing science education activities both reflecting the characteristic of STM education and meeting the school course standard and education goals.Based on STEM education theory,this paper constructs science popularization activity by combining STM with school,and designs specific science popularization activity case.Moreover,we expect to provide a reference point of view for the popular science education activities with the science popularization activity pattern and the designing idea studied in this paper.Firstly,we give a detailed introduction and analyze to the research status of science education and STEM at home and abroad.Then,we define the concept of teenagers and popular science education activities,and studied the STEM education theory,constructivism theory and the theory of "learning by doing".Secondly,by comparing the advantages and problems of science and technology museum education and school education,we conclude that the combination mode of science and technology museum and school should be based on the school curriculum standard and realize the link of popular science education activity and school textbook content.On this basis,we refine the design principle of popular science education activities,which includes content selection,goal setting,teaching mode,teaching evaluation methods and the auxiliary conditions for activities.Finally,based on STEM,we design a case of popular science education activities which named "exploring the mysteries of the earth's surface"combing science textbooks content with science and technology resources.In the end,we implement the practice activity and summarized the result.
