The purpose of this experimental research is to introduce the concept of “learning community” into the teaching process of high school girls' Taijiquan, and to construct a “learning community” teaching mode in Taijiquan teaching class, hoping to improve the classroom teaching effect of Taijiquan. After the experiment, the traditional teaching model and the “learning community” teaching model are compared. In theory,we should increase the teaching model of physical education, enriching the theoretical basis of physical education teachers' practice of teaching reform;in practice,we should optimize the effect of Taijiquan classroom teaching so that students can get better education. This research adopts the teaching experiment method. Two classes are randomly selected from eight high school girls' classes of Taijiquan in Grade Two of Jinhu Middle School in Jiangsu Province. They are randomly divided into experimental class and control class. The teaching contents and teaching hours are identical while the teaching modes are different. The experimental class adopts the "learning community" mode, and the control class adopts the traditional teaching mode. Before and after the experiment, the students of the two classes are tested and compared in terms of physical fitness, sports skills,Learning motivation, cooperation consciousness, competition consciousness, group cohesion and course learning satisfaction so as to verify the difference of teaching effect. The results of the experiment are as follows. To begin with, after the experiment, the average of the five indicators of physical fitness of the students in the experimental class was slightly higher than that of the control class, but the difference was not obvious.Additionally, after the experiment, there were marked differences between the experimental class and the control class in terms of group movement regularity, group Taijiquan style, individual movement specifications, individual learning attitude and total Taijiquan score(P < 0.05).Moreover,after the experiment, there were noticeable differences between the experimental class and the control class in four aspects: motivation of Taijiquan participation, sense of cooperation, sense of competition and group cohesion(P < 0.05).Last but not least, after the experiment, the students in the experimental class were more satisfied with the "learning community" teaching mode than the control class with the traditional teaching mode. From the above,we can draw the conclusions below.First, both of the “Learning community” teaching model and the traditional teaching model have positive effects on the improvement of high school girls' physical fitness, but there is little significant difference between the two models.Second,“Learning community” applied to the optional course of Taijiquan for girls, the effects are superior to the traditional teaching model in improving the learning outcomes of the skills, stimulating the learning motivation, increasing the sense of competition and cooperation, and contributing to the cohesiveness of the group.Besides, the student-subjective satisfaction is also higher compared to traditional teaching model.
